  1. Oh! And I'm lactose intolerant now as well... Again yay! Lol
  2. I had surgery August 14th,.. I have had a Barium swallow which showed a narrowing my doc wants to discuss it with me Monday... I am not so thrilled about a camera being put down my throat I honestly avoid eating as I dread being sick. I am consuming very little and exhausted ALL the time!
  3. So guess what fellow sleevers after two months of vomiting I finally demanded tests be done and it looks like I have a narrowing happening ... Yay me I can eat sometimes but other times can't even keep down juice... They are saying they want to put a camera down my throat to check things out further (anyone else need that??) Any info from anyone who has experienced this would be great as I am scared at what's to come!!
  4. Some days I wonder if I made the right decision!! I feel like I'm sick all the time! I was sleeved 9 weeks ago and recently am throwing up all the time! I am too scared to move beyond soft food and feel like its impossible to get in all the nutrition I need in a day... I am now lactose intolerant and many other food gives me "tummy troubles" I am down 54 pounds which makes me so happy but some days I wonder if this will be what life is like forever!
  5. Both my mom and I went to Dr. Aceves and couldn't be happier... He was a little more expensive but I wanted the best and to feel completely comfortable and safe! The hospital is very clean and the nurses are great however some of them don't speak a lot of English however they know sounds of pain and are quick to give you something .... Fear set in ten fold when I landed in San Diego but I just kept telling myself that everything will be all worth it in the long run... Everything is done over the phone with Nina... She is great!! let me know if you have any more questions
  6. I went to dr. Aceves and was very VERY impressed with both the hospital and team... U will not be disappointed if you decide on him as your surgeon... Let me know if you have anymore questions
  7. Okay guys please give me some feedback at what I am doing wrong! I had surgery just over a month ago and do not regret it at all!! However I have been dealing with some tummy issues! I am now lactose intolerant which sucks big time so I am now staying away from dairy but am still getting sick to my stomach!! I get daily stomach pains and sorry for the info here but bad diarrhea... I have also thrown up twice from the stomach pain! I am still on soft foods, I eat slow and don't drink with my meals.... Has anyone else had these same problems and if so how did u deal with them??? Thanks for any insight
  8. So I am starting to feel frustrated with this whole post op diet!!! Wednesday will be three weeks since surgery and I feel great incision wise and can't say enough good things about dr. Aceves and his team, they were wonderful!!! My frustration comes from now being lactose intolerant.... There's so few things I can eat and now everytime I drink milk my stomach kills!!! Starting to feel very frustrated, please tell me this gets better!! I know in the long run this will be all worth it but struggling to get through this stage!
  9. I was just sleeved yesterday by Dr. Aceves and a, feeling pretty darn good... A little more pain today but I have been pretty active... Dr. Aceves even high dived me lol... Any questions please ask!! It's not any easy decision to make and I was sooooo scared
