  1. I think every minute why did I do this? I live on a beach and I just sit inside or walk around the yard.......but maybe some day soon I will fit in a smaller bathing suit!

  3. I have it just didn't start it yet.....I am focusing on moving and living through the first week!!
  4. I was told that until your post op appointment after one week you don't start protein....they are not clear liquids. Unjury does make a chicken flavored that you can add to your broth. I have not worried until I get the go to full liquids to worry about protein....I am trying mylanta chewable gas pills to help.....lets hope it works because I would love to get sleep tonight!
  5. I was the eighth......still feel terrible! I wish I never did it, but maybe it will end up worth it!
  6. I am not even going to sugarcoat this. I hated EVERYTHING about this surgery. I don't know if maybe I had a bad reaction to the meds, but I was VERY sick. I had to spend an extra night in the hospital, because I could not stop vomiting. How happy was I when the nurse FINALLY came in and stuck a suppository up my you know what! Each day I do start to feel better; however until I see the results I can't find the worth yet.
  7. I vomited after surgery, and it was the worst time of my life. I still don't think I am recovered. The only thing that worked for me was a suppository (gross- but made me so happy after getting it!)
  8. Post surgery I pee every 15 min!!! Good luck ....hated pre surgery diet
  9. sugar free pops are the BEST post op.......
  10. I was scared that you ate that also! Hope no damage was done.....I am not to the point where I am smiling yet! Very sick after surgery last Monday....spent extra time in hospital. I am still so bloated and just miserable...not hungry though!
  11. It is a MAJOR surgery, and something to really think about. I know soon when I start to see effects I may feel different, but right now I totally regret it. I weighed 220 and I wish I just went to traditional dieting.
  12. I just had mine on Monday and you will need so much support you will need to tell family!!!
  13. I am sitting here drinking my clear liquids and a million things are running through my head. What will the pain be like? Will this surgery work for me? Will people think I am taking the easy route out? No matter what the answers to these questions I will still be getting my sleeve surgery tomorrow at 7 am. I am nervous, but very excited. My journey started almost a year ago. I sat in the kitchen with a friend in my bathing suit, and we complained to each other that we needed to do something. We both signed up for the informational class and I went, and she did not. From there I found out the doctor I wanted performed the surgery at a hospital that my insurance did not take. I cried. (I cried a lot through this process!). I switched doctors and began the process again. I was super set. I started my nutrition appointments; however, I was very unsuccessful with losing. The day before my third nutrition appointment Hurricane Sandy set me back an entire month! Then after I finally finished the process (which I never thought could happen) I was denied by my insurance. They asked for a two year weight history, and based my denial on my previous year's weight not being high enough. I appealed, and this was also a very long process. I finally won! I was so happy and realized that this moment was going to change my life. I am still struggling with the pre-surgery diet, and am still feeling like when I get there tomorrow they are going to say no! I am so anxious that I am never going to be able to sleep tonight. When I go to bed tonight I am going to think of my family, and how happy they will be to see me happy.
  14. My doctor did not say that the pill was not effective; however, any birth control that changes your hormones can cause blood clots. My doctor is allowing me to go back on the pill two months after surgery.
