  1. I was sleeved on 11/8, about 3 weeks. I've eaten a few things that are not full fluids. I am suppose to go to puree next week and then mushy. I've eaten a few things early and chewed really well. Tonight I had a scrambled egg, chewed and ate slowly. What is the real problem with advancing stages too soon? I know I'm not suppose to but I really feel great and things don't seem to be causing me problems. Thoughts appreciated. Thanks
  2. I feel you. I was sleeved on 11/8/13 and I feel hungry and regretful. Probably because I don't have food to comfort me and I'm sick of eating soap and Jello. I get to move onto full liquid this Friday. I think this is why I had the surgery because I tend to give up or change my mind. The food tastes so much better than losing the weight, at the moment. Now I'm trapped in the sleeve world for now. I'm hoping that my mind will clear again and I'll be back in the game with my head. I feel nausea when I eat more than a few sips of anything. I think everyone had some great ideas. Hobbies, etc. I'm feeling your Pasta and bread pain.
  3. My doctor put me on zantac for the gas he said. I have not really had any gas since I've left the hospital. I was sleeved on 11/8/13. I do feel sick each time I drink anything. They were not kidding when they said baby sips. I am having some regrets because I'm feeling off.

  6. 11/8 is going to be here before I know. I'm so afraid that I will regret this. Mainly because of what I think society feels about having the surgery. I'm afraid I still will want to eat crappy food in 2 years from now. My mind is going crazy. I don't want to feel ashamed for having the surgery but I already feel it a little. watch the biggest loser and I feel that somehow I should be able to. I've done it twice in the past with exercise and diet but I just don't have it in me. I'm obviously going through with it but just trying to work it all out in my head still. Vent over.

  11. Scheduled for 11/8 in Minneapolis, MN
  12. I had my physical to get my final approval for surgery on 11/8. My blood pressure was 150/105. Way high compared to normal. I can't stop worrying about the surgery and feeling anxious. Could that be causing my blood pressure to be so high? Than the doctor who was doing the physical said she would not approve me if it did not go down. Like that is going to make me relax. I go back on Wednesday night and Friday night to see if it has gone down. I took it tonight and it was at 120/75, more normal. I am only hope that it was a fluke and not a regular thing when I go back.
  13. I just started my preop diet. I have been having those feelings for the past few days so I can image how it will feel when I get to the night before. The biggest thing is I keep telling myself is that this is the start of a new life. It's my reset button. Good Luck.

  15. Many of the women I met this past weekend had Dr. Baker. I'm not telling any family outside my husband. My parents will just tell her all the bad things that will happen to me. As if I didn't realize the possible problems. I can't tell you guys how much it means to have someone to email and feel a connection. I would really like to make videos, blog and post facebook. Maybe after I've had it done.
  16. Testing out the quote feature. I think I feel the same way about my countdown to surgery. Like something will stop it or something.
  17. Seriously, small world. He seems very nice. Has it been hard to maintain the weight loss? I did find a tracker on the left side. I'm going to try that next.
  18. 2 MN people. So cool. I went to a thing called the Weight Loss Journey this weekend in Plymouth. Met some really great ladies. They meet every Saturday at 10:30 in Blaine at the Barnes and Noble. Do either of you have suggestions on telling people? I have told a few co workers but I'm most nervous about them all seeing me lose weight so fast. I'm so afraid that having the surgery will make me feel like somehow they will think less of me. Why do I even care, not sure.
  19. I'm so glad someone responded. Have felt so overwhelmed by all the information available. I'm having it done at Park Nicollet in St. Louis Park. We live in Prior Lake so it's not too far. Who did yours? Also, how do you create the tracker of the weight that so many people have? Thank you Thank you.

  21. Not sleeved yet, but are you really going to go back to work tomorrow? That is amazing. I hope my recovery feels as good as yours sound.
  22. My very first post. Starting liquid pre diet on 10/29/2013. Have not told many people. Trying to figure out where to jump in for support. Thanks
