I think the consensus of the respondents is correct...everyone is different...metabolism, BMI, food choices, protein consumption, exercise, etc. will all affect how your body responds. I lost 16 pounds prior to surgery, 6 pounds during 1 week pre-op, and 15 pounds since surgery (June 27). I sometimes think this is a slow process. However, I did not gain the weight in a few weeks, so why would I lose it in a few weeks. The majority of the research indicates 6-12 months for weight loss w/ a common baseline of 6-8 months when people realize they have lost a significant amount of weight.
