Insurance questions. Did you have any issues with NHP approving?

Next step going back to the nutritionist next week after a month of pre op dieting. I've lost all of 2 lbs . I'm lost bc it's discouraging with only losing such little weight. Anyone know what the steps are after meeting with the biaritrac nurse? Wondering what my time line is to get this ish done! Also they haven't even started the process with my insurance though I don't think I will have a prob I only need to obtain a PA and already saw my Pcp and received referrals

We are in the exact same boat. I'm just tired of having to roll off the beach chair and ready to feel comfortable ????????????

Encountered issue too but was only in the situation with the psych doc.. It depends how they process the bill .. Deeming "medically necc" to have these performed by WL specialist. It's confusing but they try to get around things

Thank you all. After posting this and reading some other threads I saw that it is to decrease the size of your liver but do they test the size of your liver before hand anyways? And I've just gone through my first round of appts how do I even know if my insurance is going to cover this or not? It did say PA is required but isn't that all work on the hospitals side?

Pre op diet Can't seem to follow .. Having such a hard time with a one year old child and a 12 year old brother I care for .. I'm scared when I go back to nutritionist she is gonna tell me I can't get it

How long did it take for u to get your dates? I feel like the process is moving along and the sooner the better but I've just been put on the strict diet which I am finding soooo hard to follow

I had the same issue last summer at canobie lake park and it was the oldest ride there. U can't even enjoy the ride! My grandmother always said hold your head up to the sky... You'll be able to get on that ride soon

Hey all I'm currently going through the steps. I work nights shifts and have a 1 year old at home so eating on a set schedule is difficult. I was given the strict guidelines of how I have to eat after surgery. Can I get a little feedback from people going through this or have had the same issue? I can't seem to control myself (as why I need help with surgery amyways). I feel like I am going to go back in one month and not shown any progress and be told I shouldn't get the surgery. If I could diet like this I wouldn't be looking for medical help in the first place. Please help . Discouraged
