  1. Just got home from the hospital...was only there for 2 days vs three. I had the band removed and the sleeve fixed in. I can get about 3 teaspoons and maybe 5-6 sips of tea or water...that is all I can do. Banded 48 days less of 5 years and sleeved oficially 2 days. How do you have so much energy?
  2. well its official....band removed, found no hernia and little scar tissue....and now I am sleeved. supposed to start walking tomorrow...but I already am, about 7 minutes so far...goal is supposed to be 10 tomorrow....should be OK. really hurt in the beginning, the morphine wasn't touching the pain, so they changed to dilotin...much better, not even using it right now. might even let me leave after two days vs the standard three! my advice to anyone and everyone is BRING A HEATING PAD! I cannot stress how much it has helped!!! thanks for all the support...and good luck to all of us!!!!!!
  3. My surgery is scheduled for this Wednesday at 6am! I have had the band 48 days shy of 5 years! I am worried that this won't change anything.....and I won't ever loose any more :'( My fingers r crossed...and whenever I get this nervous I want to comfort my belly..... No restriction right now and on liquid diet prior to surgery...will this roller coaster ever stop?!?! So disappointed in my own will power....haven't eaten and someone today may get hurt...lol :-) How did everyone else cope?

  5. My first consultation is also tomorrow. I was banded 5 years ago....and have lost 65 lbs. but have plateau'd for the last two years. I changed to a new doctor and found out that I have pretty much lost all the band would let me...so I am concidering this procedure. I am on my second band slip so I either do this or have it taken out. I am not new to the lifestyle change,..but I am still really nervous because I am alergic to anesthetics so alot of precautions and potential complications could arise. They have already scheduled my surgery 2 weeks from tomorrow...so I have little time to get that warm fuzzy feeling. Has anyone else gone from one to another like this? What were your results and/or complications? ~Mesha
