That's great! They just opened one right town the street from me in Henderson, NV. Of course, my hubby won't eat fish, but I'm sure my son will go with me:-)
  2. Meyerowitzb Not too original, but at least I can remember it!!

  4. I'm in Vegas (Henderson actually), but am old enough to be your mom! Sleeved in June. Best of luck finding some closer-to-age buddies! If you ever need motherly advice just give me a shout!
  5. Walked with the family last night and dr played my return to the gym for today. Made it through an entire workout. Heading out for a pedicure! Amazing how much better I feel at 2 weeks out:-)
  6. I found out that I CAN go to the movies without popcorn and a Diet Coke!! Not quite the same, but doable! I will definitely be choosier about my movies when food isn't the primary reason for going:-)
  7. Every time I try anything thicker than clear liquids it hurts. Guess my tummy is still swollen and I'm asking too much of it by trying full liquids. Not sure which is worse - real hunger or head hunger! Trying to be gentle with myself and not get discouraged.
  8. I hear you about chewing!! I find myself getting so confused about what I can and can't have at this point. Living on green tea!
  9. Also on the 25th. Actually feeling a bit worse, shaky and hypoglycemic. Able to keep liquids down but having trouble with protein, which is probably why I'm shaky. Just trying to take it easy. It doesn't help that its 115 here in Vegas.
  10. Sleeved just over 12 hours ago. Can't sleep, cause I have to pee every 30 minutes. Guess that means I'm not dehydrated, right. Pain is under good control with IV meds. So far I have "feasted" on ice chips and some decaf tea. Wishing you all the very best in your journey!!
  11. I'm the 25th, too. My doc doesn't do a pre-op diet. Just asks that I not gain a whole lot between my consult and the surgery. Had a 4 hour pre-op, hospital registration meeting yesterday. They bring in all the folks scheduled for a given week at the same time. Then they had a taste test of some high protein items, vitamins, etc. I didn't think I was nervous, but I'm not sleeping and wanting to eat anything I see, which tells me I am. Every so often I just think "what the heck am I doing!!" But I still believe its the right decision. So glad to have fellow sleevers to talk to!!
  12. Tuesday, June 24th in Las Vegas! Pre-op and hospital registration was this morning from 8 til noon. I wasn't nervous before, but am getting there now!
  13. June 25th. Had a 3.5 hour pre-op seminar and preregistration today. A lot of information, but its becoming so much more real now!
