  1. The judgement IS the worst. @vane86. I'm so sorry for your loss & your husband's family's reaction. This is a hard enough personal struggle without having to add hateful inlaws, coworkers, neighbors or people you thought were your friends. I couldn't imagine doing this without my husband. He's been a gem! He told me I was always gorgeous, I'm just showing off now. LOL. I LOVE that man!
  2. Not even cottage cheese? You were sleeved June 6th? Did he say why he wanted you to wait?
  3. We went to Ryan's last night & I had a few bites of cottage cheese & mashed potatoes & gravy. It was heavenly! Lol. I never would have even tried cottage cheese prior to surgery. It just looked gross but living off broth & jello for two weeks makes you do crazy things.
  4. I had a rough start. Tried to get pneumonia right after surgery but antibiotics are a wonderful thing. I went back to work Tuesday but I work in accounting so no heavy lifting. I go to bed a lot earlier than before surgery. Sleeping well once I started back to work & got the ok from Primary Care doc that I could use NyQuil for my cough. I'm curious if anyone else is moving into the mushy food stage tomorrow & what they plan to incorporate. I'm craving salty things. I'm sick of aspartame sweetened snacks. I really want to go to Popeyes & get the red beans with no rice or the mashed potatoes & gravy. Too soon?
  5. I was diagnosed diabetic in April & (unmedicated) my blood pressure was 200/135. I was sleeved June 6th & have already lost 17lbs & my BP was 110/71(medicated) when i went to my post op appointment June 17th. I was able to discontinue my evening BP pill. I have NO regrets. Even after trying to get pneumonia right after my surgery. I feel like I've been reborn & given a second chance at life. I'm gonna do it right this time! Good luck to everyone in their journey.
