  1. Hello everyone. I am four weeks post op. I have lost a total of 74lbs since 2/3/13. My heaviest was 376 and now I'm 302. On 6/3/13 I weighed in on my surgery date at 330. I have ran into a problem now. I am allowed to eat soft and puréed meats. Every time I eat any type of meat (plain, no seasoning) I get sweaty, nauseous and runny stools. I have to lay down right after. The most unpleasant feeling I have experienced in a long time. Worse than the flu. I won't dare step inside a restaurant because of this. Could this be dumping syndrome? I haven't found much info on dumping with the sleeve. Any help would be so helpful. Veggies have become my best friend now
  2. Thanks everyone! I guess my body's in starvation mode right now. I was 374 on the 3rd of February and now I'm 309 today. I'm still on liquids only diet since I'm 10 days out. Oh!! Who would think scrambled eggs and applesauce looks so good now...lol. Thanks everyone for your support. It's nice to know that we have somewhere to go for support. Doctors are good at what they know but unless they have been through this, it's hard for them to know everything. Thanks again!!
  3. Hi. I am a week and half out. I am drinking my protein shakes and trying to get in 20 ozs of different sugar free fluids and soups. I have been stuck at the same weight for 3 days. Is this normal? I don't want to start regretting this...
  4. Hi. I am a week and half post-op. I can tell you that I couldn't keep anything down for the first five days. I had loose, runny stools as well. My Dr. put me on anti-nausea meds and they saved my life. The dry heaves stopped and I was able to keep fluids down. Please ask your Dr. for some anti-nausea meds. Also check to see if the pain meds could be making you sick. Sometimes they hurt you more than help. Hope this helps!
  5. I'm trying to. I know I'm not getting the recommended oz. that the docs require. I was even put on anti-nausea meds today to help. I feel like what goes in, will come out in 5 mins.
  6. Hello. I was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing the same things as I am. I am four days post op. I have a fever of 100.9. I haven't been able to drink or eat anything. My stomach hurts to much and the sight of food makes me sick. I get dry heaves and lose stools. Do you think I could have an infection in my stomach? I'm waiting to it reaches 101. I managed with the dry heaves and loose stool to drink one protein shake today. Thank you so much
