  1. I had band removed and revision to sleeve on 5/28. I spent 5 days in the hospital. I was able to walk 1/3 mile a day when I came home. I then had my one week checkup where they removed my staples and my incision in the belly button was found to be leaking Fluid. It was not infected. They decided to remove on staple, let it drain (dressings changed multiple times a day) and have me return in a week. I was also put on Bactrim antibiotic to prevent infection. Since last weds I have been extremely tired. I have been unable to walk what I used to, barely to the bathroom and back without being extremely winded. I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow and will express my concerns, but this is something I am quite upset about. It's now 3 weeks post op as of today, and I am not working, not driving, not sleeping in my bed, not walking, and not able to care for myself. I am seeing others fly by me in recovery and feel that I am failing. I am complying with all liquid/protein/vitamin requirements. I don't know what to do! As a side note, I was -25lbs in a week at last weds visit. Surgery I was 406lbs and one week checkup I was 381lbs. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. I am so desperate at this point I am sincerely questioning WHY I did this to myself. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. I was sleeved 5/28 and am really struggling. I had my Lapband taken out at the time of procedure. I am working on Fluid intake and walking as much as I can but I have constant nausea. I'm on clear fluids until Tuesday and I'm hoping after then I will be able to get stronger every day. Right now the pain is mostly gone but I am in severe nausea and that is almost worse. Is Dramimine ok to take? Repeated calls to my physician went unanswered and unreturned. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. I'm 12 days postoperative and have NO desire for food (Jello, Protein drinks, ice pop, broth) and MINIMAL desire for liquids. I know I'm supposed to be getting liquids in non stop but I have severe nausea when attempting to eat or drink. I've already had my anti nausea meds renewed once. I have a call in to my doctor for more meds or allowance of Dramamine. I have had no problems taking pills or keeping them or Vitamins down. I have yet to vomit, just excessive excessive nausea. Anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using VST Sent from my iPhone using VST

  6. I had my Lapband removed on 5/28/13 and revised to VSG. I was in the hospital for 5 days and have been home trying to recover since. I had a fall backwards at the hospital where I was certain I split my staples or new stomach, but apparently I didn't. I believe because of the fall I am healing less rapidly than others. My one week follow up appointment is tomorrow morning. I have been up and walking faster every day every few hours. My incisions (5 in all) are unbelievably painful when standing from seated and sitting from standing. I have been drinking as much liquid as possible and am eager to meet with my surgeon tomorrow to hear his opinion on my progress. Is it normal to have such massive pain this far out? I've been reading of people who experience no pain even a day after surgery. I feel like I am in so much more pain than anyone else that has had this surgery. I want to be sure I am on the right track but I know I will be physically unable to function when my pain medicine is gone. I was only prescribed a weeks worth of pills. I am extremely concerned I will not get a renewal of pain medication tomorrow and I feel this is also causing anxiety that is hindering my healing process. How are those of you who had your revision the same date as me doing? Thanks for listening.
