  1. I got mine from Walmart or target, I can't remember
  2. My mom had the same doctor. He is one of the first doctors in the area to do the weight loss surgeries. He knew his stuff. I also researched him. I loved the clinic he is out of and everyone that works at the clinic is amazing. There is another doctor at the same clinic who my aunt had and she said he was just as amazing. I had Dr. Drew.
  3. I have tried about 8 different kinds including isopure. My doctor has advise me to stop trying to drink protein for a week. I either gag and throw in up or have an extreme stomach ache all day long if it goes down. I have tried mixing it with milk, water, almond milk and soy milk. They just want me to give my stomach a break. We will see how it goes.
  4. It's going ok. I'm having trouble with any type protein drink
  5. June 19th. I had to go in a day early though and do a heprin drip because I have had a history of blood clots.
  6. I was sleeved by Dr. Drew in Waconia. He also goes out of Abbot.
  7. Mine started about week two and three then all of a sudden it started coming off
  8. It's strange because I have not had a single problem with that incision. I wonder how the doctors are taking it out.
  9. What flavor did you get? Did you by the premixed bottles? I add Splenda to mine an it taste good!
  10. No I refuse to use straws. As my doctor told me they could damage the sleeve and bring air into the sleeve causing extreme discomfort.
  11. I got the isopure in the bottles. I like the idea of not having to mix it myself and each bottle has 40 grams in it. The new coconut one only has 20. But if I drink one all day 40 grams is better then none.
  12. I do not make a habit out of it. However there are times I need the sensation of chewing something. I have been on 5 weeks of liquid and still have a week left of liquids.
  13. I have not ate real food, only because my doctor scared me out of it. He said as your stomach is still healing if you eat food it can get stuck on the staples and start to rot. He then said you would have to go back in have you stomach sucked clean and start all over on the liquid diet. I said heck no, I will not be on the liquid diet for another four weeks. I will admit to sucking the seasoning off chips and crackers and I also chew something up and spit it out. It gives you the sensation of eat without needing to swallow it.
  14. Try isopure. All my protein shakes caused my problems and the isopure. Has not caused me issues. It's more of a protein water. My doctor says to use a Splenda packet to make it sweet if you need to.
  15. I have acid reflex when I do not take the Zantac my doctor sent me home with. I'm have a horrible time with any of the protein drinks I drink. They all cause me horrible stomach aches and I feel like I could throw up. Has anyone else had this same problem? I have a week left of a liquid diet and then move on to purée foods. I should also mention I have tried about 6 or 7 different types of protein drinks and they all have been doing it to me and they never bothered me before being sleeved. I can drink milk no problem. It does not matter if I mix the protein milk, water, juice, or food. Even the pre mixed ones in the bottles bother me.
  16. I'm west of the twin cities
  17. Winters aren't horrible. They do get annoying though.
