  2. I had my conversion done April 26th. Pre-op I only had to do a liquid diet the day before, only to make sure my stomach was empty for surgery. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet for my band either except for the clear liquids the day before.
  3. Not all meds are absorbed in the intestine. I was having a problem with my RLS and itching medications not working right after surgery because my stomach was not absorbing them probably because of the inflammation. My primary care doctor had me opening the capsules and cutting up the pills so that they could be absorbed easier before they left the stomach. 3.5 weeks post-op and they are working again. I have never heard of any advice on drinking and taking meds, but depending on the med you could be rushing it through.
  4. Oh, you poor things! I was sleeved 24 days ago and have never felt better. Post-op pain lasted less than a day and except for one major bought with gas pains, I haven't had a complaint. I am now on a soft diet with ground meats and have tolerated everything I tried. I was so fortunate not to have pain because I am limited to Tylenol for pain and that wasn't going to cover much. Hold on, I'm sure it will get better as you heal. I do know that I spend most of my day thinking about food right now, but not sure I have dreamed about it. That will get better I'm told as the new way of eating becomes more normal. I am getting tired of being obsessed about this sleeve. Hopefully, soon will get back to thinking about what used to occupy my mind.
  5. I had my band out and was sleeved on April 26, 13. I don't recall exactly what the pain level was when I got my band, but I know with my Sleeve I was pain free less than 48 hours after surgery only taking pain meds because I had a headache. I had to keep reminding myself I had just had major surgery so that I didn't do too much.
