odd gnawing feeling within the hour after eating.
At times I can ignore it, and it's not longing for any particular food.

odd gnawing feeling within the hour after eating.
I had my surgery on July 1. In the last few weeks i'v started getting a strange gnawing feeling in my stomach and feels like hunger. Drinking helps for a few minutes and putting something solid down there helps for a little longer. Anyone else have this? Is it hunger, acid, spasms, thirst? I know I don't like it.

July 1
I had my surgery July 1st too! I'm doing pretty well, except lately the liquid shakes have been hard to stomach, thank goodness at 4 weeks I could start eating bars. I've lost 33 lbs since I started my pre surgery diet. How are you doing? How much excersise are you doing? I'm up to walking two miles a day, in the beginning, at 223 pounds. How are you doing? July 1 sleevers- are we getting ready?
Can this be right? I had my sleeve surgery Monday July 1st, they didn't weigh me then. The Thursday before that I weighed 214.5 at my preop visit. Today, 10 days after my preop weight, I'm weighing in at 195. That's a 19.5 lbs loss in 10 days. Is it real?

July 1 sleevers- are we getting ready?
Why am I nervous? I had open heart surgery and lived through childbirth twice! I feel my food demons trying to put bad thoughts in my head. Anyone else have butterflies in their stomach?

July 1 sleevers- are we getting ready?
a little over a week to go with two more weekends........ I have preop/surgery bootcamp/class on Wensday. I got the final blessing from my cardiologist yesterday (i already had cardiac clearance but the cardiologist was worried about the possibility of blockages). I plan on stocking up on liquids in my pantry this weekend and maybe even buy me some cute jammies to wear around the house when I get home. I just wish a fairy would come clean my house and wash all my bedding....... where are you guys from? I live in winchester ky and i'm going to Lexington to St. joseph bariatrics. Dr. Greenlee is scheduled to do my surgery.

July 1 sleevers- are we getting ready?
Hey ladies! I am scheduled for surgery on July 1st. I don't know why but i'm getting nervous. I don't think it's about the surgery necessarily, that part will be easy, espcially compared to open heart surgery that I had three years ago. I think i'm more neveous about not being successful, about constantly thinking about food and not physically needing or wanting it. I'v heard that head hunger can be bad, but i'v also heard people say that isn't an issure for them. I'm stocked up on shake mix, I just need to stock up on soups and such. I'll do that this coming week. I've been experimenting with shakes and greek yogurt mixins. Plain greek yogurt with a bit of sf chocolate pudding mix is actually quite tasty and it gets so thick that i'm considering mixing a bit of milk or almond milk in to think it. I wish I could find an alternative to the shakes, it's so expensive. I can't believe that there aren't alternitives to it. I'm also getting excited. I'm calling life after surgery Sheri 2.0....haha. Can't wait to get started.

KY soon to be sleever
Hi everyone, I'm Sheri and I live in Ky. I'm 46 and have battled weight my whole life. When I was 43 I had a triple bypass heart surgery and I've been unsuccessful in taking of weight even knowing that my weight is what's making me sick. I've battled PCOS because of my weight and just recently my liver had started complaining. My cholesterol is crazy high and I have artheritis. I've also battled lymphoma. My decision for having this surgery is quite simple. If I don't loose this weight and fast I believe that I will either need heart surgery again withing the next couple of years or die from a heart attack or stroke. I am going to St. Joseph Bariatrics in Lexington Ky and they have so far been fantastic. I've jumped through the hoops and on Friday I scheduled my surgery for July 1. I go next week for the preop visit to the surgeon and bariatrick bootcamp, it's all in one day. I'm excited, I feel like I'm getting ready to start not a new chapter but a whole new book in my life.... Sheri 2.0..... and after the last three years (my daughter was diagnosed with cancer at 17 and died in Oct. 2011 at age 20) I need a major reboot. I can say that I've never been so sure of anything in my whole life and I can't wait to see what my sequal will bring. Sheri 5'6 218lbs
