  1. Good to know, jensjoy28! I'll ask my surgeon as soon as I see him in the OR Monday! Any of you probiotic takers/drinkers? Any experience drinking Kombucha post-op? I like Buddha's Brew, they're local here in Austin, Tx. Kombucha tends to be ever-so-slightly carbonated, so I'm rather hesitant about trying it post-op. It's been so beneficial to me, though, I sure will miss it!
  2. Great thread. I loooove juicing, and am planning on drinking as much as possible during my liquid phase!
  3. I'm 8 days into my pre-op diet, and it can be a challenge, mentally. All the positivity on this post is infectious, though! We can do this!
  4. Love this! I'm June 3rd as well. Best of luck to all!
  5. Awesome blog post! Thanks for all the protein ideas & links! I'm a huge coffee lover, so these suggestions are fabulous.
  6. My date is June 3rd, started my pre-op Monday. My pre-op consists of 30g of carbs or less a day and at least 80g of Protein a day. Can have cheese, nuts, dairy. No sugars, obviously. So I'm 3 days in, and honestly it feels a little unhealthy. I use My Fitness Pal, and my sodium numbers are pretty high, so are fats. But I don't get hungry much, and a small meal is veryyyy filling. But man I miss fruit and vegetables. And juicing! I would kill for a green smoothie right about now. It's high 90's here in Austin, Tx!!!
  7. Wow,congrats on your success! I really needed to hear a positive voice tonight! Im 12 days to sleeve, and the nerves, the doubt, the fear are all kicking in! Happy to read a happy sleever who is kicking' ass and takin' names! You rock!
  8. I agree! I have great support here- wonderful husband and best friend- but I don't know anyone going through this near me. I am in beautiful Austin, Tx! And I would love to follow both of y'alls progress. how are your friends reacting to your decision? Most of my closest friends are totally supportive, but a couple, notsomuch.
  9. I actually haven't seen any videos. I'm pretty new around here, and am just starting to explore. Work has been hectic, which I think has been a good thing. Less time to obsess about nerves.
  10. June 3rd... And it is just around the corner! Excited, nervous, ready.
  11. From another Texan, who is also pre-op, I know where you are coming from. Best of luck, you can do this!
