  4. well I hope you reach your goal for your consult!
  5. I am 3% short. The nutritionist "suggested" that I put on 16 lbs to meet the min weight requirement for my height for the procedure. I considered it for about 2 seconds then decided that's not the way I want to go. I might try to appeal it.
  6. My insurance company denied me. I don't quite reach the suggested BMI for this procedure. Had I had some co-morbidities such as high BP, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, arthritis, etc, I could have been approved with my lower BMI. I am thankful that all the previous mentioned items are under control and that my real concern in just my weight (at this point in time). However, I've battled my weight for 11 years and I was really counting on this procedure as the tool to help me manage it. I know there is the option of self paying, but out of pocket is super pricey and interest rates for financing are through the roof. I've attended a required seminar and consult with the Doctor. He still thinks I am a good candidate for the procedure even if my insurance won't cover the expenses. Right now I am feeling a little defeated.
