  2. OMG so frustrated! i need a swift kick in the arse!!! im so happy that ive lost 37lbs but i feel like it should be happening faster... although i will say that i don't have the majorly sagging skin like i expected! what are other people's experiences??? does anyone else feel like they are shrinking in size but not pounds???
  3. hi all, HELP!!! i wondered if someone could give me some comments about this... so i had my surgery on october 18, 2007 and i had my first fill, 2cc's on monday, december 3, 2007, i have a MidBand. Since my fill, i feel like i have felt more hungry and less restricted. i can tell there is some restriction at times but i am concerned... does anyone know how many cc's the MidBand holds and did anyone else feel this way after their first fill? and when will i start losing more weight... sheesh, i want this thing to work right now... LOL.... i know im pushing it... kim
  4. ive lost about 25lbs since the first day of my pre-op diet. i had my surgery on october 18, 2007 at tlbc... i had my first fill on monday, 2cc's.... i do not feel much restriction at all at this point so i am looking forward to my next fill.... i had lost 29lbs but gained 4 back after i had healed and before my first fill :faint: i need to get back on the loss wagon!
  5. what did people eat post-op on full fluids.... i am supposed to be on full fluids from day 6 to day 17! Ideas please........ HELP! LOL!:help:
  6. oopsie, nevermind, i found answers to my questions! thanks anyways!
  7. Thanks Isabella, I really appreciate your support! I had the best experience I think I could have at the TLBC! I think you would make a wonderful spokesperson for them! Maybe they're hiring! lol.... im really not all that hungry! i have a protein drink that i really don't like and i am so not crazy about broth... im trying to force stuff in! on a brighter note, since i started my pre-op and until now, i feel so much better than i did and oh my god, my nails are so long and BeeyuTiful! lol ahhaha.... all that calcium paid off in many ways i suppose!
  8. there is a thread around here that gives a detailed outline of how to put a ticker on your signature! i will have a look for it and send you the link if I can find it! (the ticker is the thing at the bottom of people's signatures that they use to track and display weight loss/milestones achieved! good luck!
  9. Hi everyone, I was banded at TLBC on Thursday October 18, 2007 by Dr. Yau and Dr. Tollmeister.... they are so awesome. I was freaking out before the procedure(ok well not overtly) but they made me feel so comfortable, at least as comfortable as they could have made me feel. Although I did follow the pre-op diet, Dr. Yau said that my liver was still a little big so I was kinda bummed about that but he also said everything went well...I love all the staff there.. they are so nice and inviting and comforting. I stayed overnight and that was awesome too! I do not remember at all walking from the recovery room to my bedroom! amazing how powerful anesthetic is! i have so much gas that i am trying to get rid of, but its going slowly.... overall.... my experience was a 10! Kim
  10. hi Marlu, I am on my last day of pre-op and have my surgery tomorrow! im freaking out, but so excited! i just wanted to say that you can and will lose the 15lbs in 5 weeks. im just tying up my pre-op diet and ive been doing it for 3 weeks and have lost 18lbs! it was difficult, but do-able.... if i can do it, please trust me that you can do it. the diet the nutritionist at the centre had me on was low fat/fat free cottage cheese, fat free yogurt, i could only have splenda/fake sugar, one chicken breast daily boneless/skinless, a spinach salad with only the spinach and balsamic vinegar and lots to drink but nothing with sugar.... its worth it.... keep at it... i have paid for my surgery so i can't offer anything in the insurance dept..... good luck and hang in there.....
  11. Thank you Donna.. made me feel better!!!
  12. Hi Crispy.... pre-op is going good.. but im getting sick of yogurt and cottage cheese... even with the chicken breast once per day... although it is super helpful.. the best if the breakfast.. i mix one cup of milk, lotsa Silouette yogurt and ice cubes and blend it... and voila... a huge shake! you will get hunger pangs.. but you get used to it.. i am doing 3 week preop.. god help me, i have 2 weeks left... have you heard about other foods we can have?
  13. HI LapBandMe... luv the name! Are you being banded at TLBC also?
