  1. I have recently relocated to the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area and I am in need of a local Lap Band doctor. Anyone out there have a recommendation? Any help is appreciated!! Thanks, Juli
  2. The only "Fat Pad" that I am familiar with is with what occurs when you have a trauma to an area and they cannot tell if it is fractured because the xray is blurred. They call this a fat pad on the xray. Probably not what your looking for, but the only fat pad that I know of....
  3. Thanks for this post... It really helped to clarify the importance of water in my weight loss journey.
  4. My paperwork was turned into UHC on 1/6/05. I had the approval by 1/28/05. They were real easy to work with through the whole process. Good Luck.....
  5. Thanks for the advice. I think I will wait for a few weeks and see if my progress stalls. I have been walking more, but have not made it back to the gym yet. The gym should provide a metabolism boost that has not yet been realized. Wanttobe110: My liquid diet portion was only for a week prior to the operation. After surgery it was only a couple of days. I lost about 4-5 lbs before the actual surgery and about 25 lbs in the 5.5 weeks since.
  6. I need some advice on the necessity of my 2nd fill. I was banded 2/28/05, a little over 4 weeks ago. I had my first fill last week. I can feel restriction, but nothing too tight. My PA told me that she wants me to come back in for another fill in about two weeks. I have lost a total of 27 pounds since I was weighed one week prior to surgery. (Average of 5.4 lbs per week.) My questions is..... If I am making this much progress should I get a fill right now? Should I wait until I hit a plateau? I don't feel deprived of food at all. I am currently eating about a cup per meal of mostly healthy items. (Small indulgence once and awhile...) So far I have been trying to walk more and will begin a work out program this week. Any guidance that I can receive is appreciated. Thank You, Juli
