Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
I don't think it was bad turkey. Maybe a touch of the flu. Still have headache this morning.. vague, but still there... back of the head and neck. Was hungry, so had Breakfast, but every time I eat I feel yucky again! Haven't been out of the RV since Saturday afternoon! But planning to go to Water aerobics in an hour. We'll see how that goes. Glad you enjoyed your family and your weekend. Yeah, I noticed you were a little buzzed. LOL! Enjoyed meeting your family!

Hey, Jackie & I have been here. Even today. And I just called Janet to make sure she didn't fall in to a hole somewhere. She's been chillin' in her jammies today, too, just like me! I haven't felt too good all day... queasy stomach, bit of a headache. But Earl poured me a glass of wine and gave me about 10 stick pretzels and now I feel better. Janet promised she'd be here later! I think! Her family left this morning.

We need a "LIKE" button like FB has!! LOL I agree with what you said. Except for the part about God planning for you to be alone. Maybe for now, but I choose to believe He has someone out there for you when His time is right. Hang in there both of you. Praying for the perfect housing for each of you.

Where is everyone?? Grey, cloudy, windy, cool morning. I think I heard rain all night and the windows are wet. I want to stay home and not go to church. Have a bit of a headache and upset stomach. Is that a good reason to skip church?? Just want to stay on the couch wrapped in my blankie!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
If that's true, I'm in BIG trouble! I've been using it for 2 yrs. It is an ingredient of meat tenderizer, I believe. My orthopedic surgeon has it on his list of things to quit taking 2 weeks prior to surgery. It helps me when I feel "stuck".

Hey... we're sisters here and no need to apologize for any whining!! We all do it from time to time. It's okay, and I know I'm not the only one who was wondering how things were going with you since you've been AWOL!! Nasty deal your DH pulled on you for Thanksgiving! Glad your sister came through for you! Hope you had a nice day with her! One of my niece's has a BF who can't seem to stand being around her kids... 12 & 15. There is a very nice guy waiting in the wings who LOVES her AND her kids and has a couple of his own. They all get along GREAT. The only reason she sticks with the A-Hole guy is that every time she tries to break up with A-H, he CRIES!! They tried living together for a while but it only lasted a few months because he'd come home from work and sit in the kitchen by himself because the kids were there! In the meantime, she's about 37 and has wasted 7 years of her life on this guy. And passed up one really good catch about 5 years ago, too! A guy named Joe that my sister and I LOVED! Now he's going to marry someone else, and that's going to happen to her again if she sticks with Mr. Jerko. All he wants is his booty calls! UGH! She's a soft heart! Can't stand it when he cries and then she backs down and goes back to him! No basis for a lasting relationship. You are making the right decision. Because, like I told my sister, even when the kids are grown and out of the house... he'll treat them the same when they come to visit. Holidays will always be a nightmare! Hope you find a suitable place to move in to soon!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
It sounds to me like you need a little bit taken out. If you can only eat a few bites and are having that much trouble, it sounds to me like you are too tight.

Hey! Where is everyone today??!! Out SHOPPING??? I did my usual Friday routine.... water aerobics, stationary bike, lunch, email/laptop, choir practice, cheese & wine & Judge Judy. Boring, huh??? But I keep checking here and no one is here or has been here!! What's up with that??? Candice has a new puppy that she's probably playing with. Janet still has her family there... maybe she's making cookies with the girls? How about the rest of you??

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
I had several fills before I reached a point of good restriction. So don't be anxious about it yet. As for being too tight... they always have you drink a glass of Water before you leave to make sure you can at least get that down. But if you can't eat hard Protein after a couple of days, you're too tight. If you do happen to PB or vomit... and it will probably happen sooner or later.. it's not like normal vomiting.. The first time it happened to me I started laughing. I'd just eaten some chicken and it all of a sudden just came back up. I started laughing because my husband was freaking out and it just struck my funny bone! It's nothing to be afraid of, really, and you will learn what you can and cannot eat... to keep it from happening. Most importantly, you will learn that you MUST take very small bites and chew thoroughly!

I read an article about that somewhere a week or so ago. Sounded pretty interesting! Had a nice Thanksgiving with our friends.. but the turkey was a little dry... did I already say this??? Don't remember. Anyway, couldn't eat much turkey... couldn't find the dark meat. But I had my share of mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, peas and sweet potatoes. And a tiny piece of apple pie and a spoonful of blackberry cobbler. Later we stopped by Janet's... she only lives about 2 miles from where we were. So we got to meet her DS, GS, 2 GD, and DIL. Food was all still out so I picked at the turkey and had a couple of bites of her green bean casserole, and a deviled egg. And a margarita!! And she gave us some of that delicious double layer pumpkin pie to take home with us. I just finished that off! So...in lieu of all that, I did 15 minutes on the bike after water aerobics this morning!!

starting BMI over 50? come on in!
HI, WELCOME!! You should be pretty much back to normal by one month out. But your first fill will probably be at about the six week point, so you'll want to be home for that and not travel for a couple of days afterward. Best of luck to you.

There was a potluck at the chapel, but we didn't go because we were invited to have dinner with some old friends who are down here in a time share condo for the week. It was quite an enjoyable day. Dinner was great, but I couldn't eat much turkey because it was too dry and there was very little dark meat. Earl said they didn't slice up the thigh. He ate one drumstick. Maybe I should've asked for the other! Now I'm hungry because I didn't have much meat... so I'm eating the very last piece of your beef jerky! I have very much enjoyed it! I almost forgot I still had a piece left! Someone here accused me of hiding it! That's right... I DID!! Because I knew he'd eat it all if I didn't. It was already opened when we got back from shopping last weekend! So when he went to bed I hid it!! LOL!!:biggrin::biggrin: GS did give his girl a diamond ring... small diamond... but they say it is just a "promise ring"! I saw a picture of it on FB. It's very pretty! Glad you had an enjoyable day and great dinner.

I've tasted that Costco ham and it tasted pretty good. It's been years since I've had a honey baked, but I remember they are pretty good! Green bean casserole is one of my favorites. If I don't get any with my dinner today I'm going to raid your refrigerator for leftovers!!:biggrin::biggrin: These people are worse health nuts than we are so I'm not sure what to expect. Items we were asked to bring: FF cream cheese, FF sour cream, 1 lb baby carrots and a bag of pretzels! Munchies for before dinner.

Sounds delicious!! Apple/cranberry pie... ummmm, that sounds good! Beautiful day in the desert here, too!! You've been a busy bee already!! The GYM, too! I'm impressed! Oh, my.... the smells in the air over here are driving me nuts!! There's roast turkey in the air!! Among other things! Our hosts just called to say they were sliding dinner about an hour, but we'll probably be on our way in a little while. Probably will stop by your place later for a taste of that pie!

Thanks so much for all your birthday wishes!! I had a GREAT fun-filled day! I had my very favorite spaghetti & meat balls for lunch at one of my favorite area restaurants (chose atmosphere!) ... brought home enough leftovers for three more meals! Went to see "Blind Side" this afternoon.. great movie! Then DH took me to Starbucks, and we ended the day at Walmart! I had phone calls from my Mom, one of my sisters and all four kids (though one didn't seem to remember that it was my birthday)! I always had a birthday cake growing up, and even at 66, it doesn't seem like a birthday without birthday cake. So at Walmart I thought I'd buy myself a cupcake. But they had these little squares of birthday cake for $1.50, so I bought one! Perfect! Had a little wine when I got home, and my cake! DH was annoyed that I didn't share! But he bought himself a little cherry pie that he didn't share! I feel NO guilt!! LOL Looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner with old friends tomorrow.

I was serenaded with "Happy Birthday" at TOPS, at the restaurant here at our park... one of my friends was there and led everyone there in singing to me, all the water aerobics folks, my SIL over the phone, grandkids.... over the phone, and Mom & Uncle Ed! What fun! I feel really loved! Looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner with old friends tomorrow. They emailed me directions this afternoon, and turns out it's right down the street from Janet's.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Long day and I'm tired! Left for pool at 8:45 a.m. Water aerobics, hot tub, shower, then straight to beading class. Didn't get back until going on 3 p.m. By then I was tired, hungry and had a back ache! Too late for lunch, so I had a few little tiny cubes of cheese, a couple of nuts and two small glasses of wine. Sat on neighbors back porch and visited for about an hour with all of that. Then had some cole slaw that i made the other day, and a mug of that delicious white chicken chili. But, in between, had a phone call from a good friend up in WA telling me that our friend died last night. So now I"m really bummed. She said it was her decision to quit all the life support, dialysis, etc. She just wanted to be done. But, back in the 80's, she was a dear friend and mentor and I am so sad to hear that she's gone. I had a feeling she was going to die very close to my birthday ever since I heard she was having health problems again. So glad I got to see her last month. Several of us got together for lunch the day before we headed south. I would've hugged her one more time if I'd known that was the last time I would see her! Now I want a cookie REALLY BAD!! But only thing sweet around here is my 60 calorie puddings! Going to try to make the best of my birthday tomorrow. Always a special day when I was growing up. Earl is the youngest of seven, so not so much at his house! He just doesn't have it in his heart to make much of it... I'm really whining! Better sign off!

Good to see some action here!! I have birthday tomorrow and then Thanksgiving the next day! TG dinner with good friends from days gone by! They are in the area for Thanksgiving week and invited us to their time-share condo for dinner. Looking forward to that. You didn't hear this... but I am going to Celebrate my birthday by going out to either lunch or dinner at one of my two favorite Italian restaurants!! Haven't decided which one yet. One has excellent food, but atmosphere.. not so much. The other one has atmosphere, pretty comparable food, but higher prices, too! I have to decide!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
I use the weight I was when I started the pre-op diet... like the weight from my first appointment with my surgeon. I don't consider that cheating because that's when the journey started... that's when my commitment began.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
I don't know.... tilapia, scallops and sometimes salmon seem to do it to me. I think I chewed pretty good... and I usually eat pretty slowly. I think I'll have a cup of tea. Then maybe the rest of it will go down. You should speak to the manager at Stater Bros! That needs to change! Of course, WalMart doesn't offer, but I think when we go to Von's they do. As for Andrew... what I used to do when our kids were in their teens... if they were home when I came home with groceries... I'd sit in the garage and honk the horn.. That meant they better come down and help me!! LOL And that reminds me of a good story! Earl used to LOVE Plymouth Valiants. Our very first one was a 1969 that we bought a few months before Jodie was born. She was well in to her teens and we still had it! He didn't want to give it up. He used it for work. Then one day it wouldn't go in reverse anymore. So we had to make sure we never got in a situation where we had to back up. And when we got home, we'd pull up in front of the house and honk the horn until a couple of kids came out to push us backwards in to the driveway so it would be already to pull out forward next time we went out! That didn't last very long, though. He finally broke down and traded it in. I think that's when we got our VW bus... which we needed because we had 4 teenagers at the time! Okay... end of long story. A little trivia for you.

Earl sauteed some scallops tonight... onions, mushrooms, garlic, celery. It was very good.... and some spinach , couple of bites of cole slaw. And then I slimed and pb'd! Very frustrating. Can't seem to keep down my seafood quite often. I don't know what's up with that! But it sure is annoying.
