  4. So I go for my pre-op nutrition appointment Thursday and my last of 6 monthly weight management class. Don't have a date yet but just curious of how close I am? Do I start the 2 week liquid diet then or what? I guess I should just wait till my appointment but I'm nervous/ anxious/ excited... To sum it all up I can't wait to get on the loser's bench!!
  5. Are you excited? Anxious? Nervous? Relieved? What are your feelings? I am all of the above. I've wanted this for years, and now that it is so close all of my feelings are going crazy... Excited about my new start.. Anxious, it flew by but still feels dragging, nervous that something still may change and relieved to know I made it through the wait. Now the work must begin! Best wishes and prayers your way
  6. Thanks! I really need to buckle down. Busy schedule and eating on the go so I really need to come up with a plan on getting those liquids in.
  7. Thanks and good luck to everyone! I have felt the last 6 months would never end but I know that's not even the hard part! I know the 2 week preop will not be easy for me but making a point to stay positive!
  8. Prayers to you and to your new start!
  9. 5 months down, psych eval, EGD, sleep test..etc. scheduled my last weight management and pre op nutrition for October 11. That 6 months flew by but just don't know if it's real yet. Don't have a date yet or even if it's looking hopeful, just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?!?!
  10. I'm at the doc now waiting to be called back for my consultation. I'm feeling really nervous. I've wanted this so long I'm so scared something will get in the way!!!
  11. Anytime your body changes out of the norm you will notice changes in you hair or skin.... It's not the actual surgery but I believe your body has to adjust to the changes. B vitamins and biotin will help and keratin will not be a problem. If you haven't had a problem with it before I wouldn't worry. It's not a chemical straightener so there is no breaking down of your hair. Keratin adds to it. Good luck!
  12. Yes keeping a good trim will keep up with your growth cycle....I notice that hair looks so much thicker from going to a shorter style because of the stages of growth, so long hair tends to look stringer I'd your hair is thinning.
  13. As a hairstylist I was curious myself. I know I always encourage clients with thinning hair to get highlights or color because it swells the hair shaft and gives it a fuller texture but I also recommend adding Biotin or more b Vitamins to your daily Vitamin routine as well. Good luck everyone!! Looking forward to my vsg
