  1. I'm thinking about trying the Advocare 24 day challenge to detox my body but i'm a little scared because I don't know how it will affect me post op! If you've tried it can you please share your experience??? Thanks!!!

I just had my surgery on 4/24...I was on a liquid diet for 2wks and when I weighed in b4 surgery I lost 14lbs...really haven't experienced any nausea or vomiting or bad pain...im still on liquids now and my post op appt with Dr. King is on Thursday so hopefully ill get to move to another stage of foods!!!! I love Dr. King and his staff and im sure you'll have a great experience too!!!

Hello everyone...im post op day 2...surgery went well didn't have a lot of pain just discomfort from the gas...I had great nurses who had me up and walking 4hrs after surgery...the doctor told me he was proud of me for how well my liver had shrank...yesterday I had to keep down 96 oz of fluids and walk 20 laps to be discharged...so by the grace of God I came home yesterday...haven't experienced any nausea yet but I have been sleeping a lot and trying to get these fluids in!!! I lost 14lbs pre-op so i'll weigh in again nxt week...the only thing I wish is that I could've brought the hospital bed home lol...but thanks for all your prayers and well wishes they're greatly appreciated...so continue to pray for a speedy revovery and ill keep you all posted!!!   10. Soo I just got my call from the hospital confirming that I need to be at the hospital at 5:30am because I'm first!!! Well I'm not going to lie I AM NERVOUS but hey God didn't bring me this far to leave me!!! CrimsonDiva

Soo my surgery is Wednesday and I've lost 10lbs...I've been on a liquid diet for 12 days...I think I've done great considering I cheated a little but I'm kind of afraid that I haven't lost enough!!! The doctor didn't give me a specific amount to loose but Im nervous!!! Soo i'm just curious to see if 10lbs is a failure... CrimsonDiva

I have Cigna too...My paperwork was submitted on March 14...they let the paperwork sit around until my nurse called on April 2nd...then they opened my case for review and I called on April 5th and I was approved!!! But my secondary insurance is BCBS and I was approved in one week!!! I've heard many horror stories about Cigna so I guess I can't complain about how long it took to get approved!!! CrimsonDiva
  16. Well today I begin the second day of my liquid diet....and its my birthday!!! Kinda sucks that I wont be able to eat cake and have a drink...but hey what doesn't kill me makes me stronger!!! I have my pre-op appointment today so I hope all goes well!!! CrimsonDiva
  17. It is soo cool to finally come into contact with people who have used the same surgeon as me. I feel even more at ease now seeing that you ladies have had much success with Dr. King. Well my liquid diet starts tomorrow so keep me in your prayers!!! CrimsonDiva
