  1. I was filled to the max as well. I was completely miserable the 1st 2-3 weeks. I drank alot of hot coffee and soup's. Yes, I had terrible acid reflux. It was really ruff, but I have to say soooo worth it!
  2. I went to Dr. Horgan in Chicago a longggggg time ago. I believe he charged around 200. I'm actually tryin to find his number because I lost it and I can't find it on the internet. Maybe you'll have some luck.
  3. Yeah I have not had a fill since Dec 05 and I still have PBing episodes. Im having one right now from eating a little piece of steak. It has actually lasted about 5 hrs now.. It's becoming very painful and making me very angry. I sometimes put my head back while standing, which works very often but.... not today.
  4. :angry OMG who was your doctor? Did your doctor who does the fills have any idea how that could of happened?
  5. I have not asked cuz he's in Mexico and a little hard to get a hold of. I guess I could ask my doctor who does my fills, here in Chicago Il. Thanks for the reply.
  6. Thanks Bensmum, I could probably give my own fills it's so easy to find. j/k:p
  7. Thanks for that info live2canoe. You would think my doctor would have put it deeper under the muscle to begin with.
  8. I was a patient who had a lower BMI, and got a tummy tuck before my lapband surgery. ( because I had not heard of the lapband before) Well now that Im almost at my goal weight, my port sticks out and I can feel the lump on my belly. It really bothers me, even more so when your partner who doesn't know you had the surgery is starting to ask questions. Yes, I do not tell everybody about my surgery, I told him I had my gallbladder taken out. :rolleyes
  9. My port is about 5 inches left of my belly button, I feel a little pinching now and then.
  10. Im not sure if I should get a fill. I know that I can eat more ...but sometimes I still have a problem swollowing some foods. Is this common even if you need a fill?
  11. I have the worst PB episode ever! (as I write this) I ate some pork and it will not come up or go down. I have been thowing up that phlem and pieces of the pork for a couple of hours. I have tryed water, but that just comes up also. Any suggestions please....
  12. I had surgery with Dr. Rumbaut, the surgery went well and I have no problems. The hotel was nice, and close to a mall. My room at the hospital were beautiful.
  13. That makes me sooooo angry! Well I'm glad you posted this story. If anything good comes out of it, he will get a bad rep and loose any future buisness.
  14. I really miss my diet coke, but I just switched to ice tea with equal sugar. It has been five months from surgery and I still crave it once in a while. I just take a coulpe of sips of diet coke now and then and I feel o.k.
  15. I have had Champain when I know my band is really loose and I need a fill. Or pouring your carbonated beverage on ice really does take down the bubbles.
