Hello Everyone, I am schedule to be sleeved on May 1. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am ready though. I have not been over weight my entire life but the four years that I have been has been a battle. I quit smoking a four years ago, traded one addiction for another, and it has been a battle every since. I had lost a lot of weight two years ago however, I had a handsome baby boy and am back were I started. I glad to see so many other like myself. I have a great support system but sometimes if eel that I need to chat with people that are actually going through the process with me. May is a great month for us!!

You can definately use the high glucose. I didnt have all of my two years an I got approved. I have high blood pressure and sleep apnea though. And even though didnt have the weight for two years, I still got approved. My surgeon said BCBS federal is the easiest.

I was approved with only two years of actually obesity. With co morbidities they are more likely to approve without the right amount if history.

I know. When are you having your surgery? I just got approved today. Waiting on a surgery date!

Gotta a call today say that I was approved to have the sleeve. I am so excited. The scheduler are supposed to call me with a surgery date!!!! My journey is on its way!!

Oh and they count the weight that you were during your initial visit. I had the same issue. My BMI was below forty for the two years prior. and then reached forty and was exactly forty. I dont know if it is different because I have two co-morbitites so my BMI can go down to 35 and it will not effect my surgery . I was not diagnosed with the comobitities until after I had started the process. The doctor told me not to worry though I should be fine.

I have BCBS Fed basic. They submitted mine last week I think on friday of last week. They uploaded packet 3/11/13. I was told by insurance that it could take 30-60 days. It made me sad but Dr. told me it never takes that long. We will see!!

flmama, Your pocess has gone so quickly. I started way back in December also and my paket was just submitted to insurance. They said it could take 30-60 days!!
