Was a fit athlete my entire life until I was attacked in a home invasion and left paralyzed in Dec 2004. 5 spine surgeons told me to not exercise and to wait for the U.S. to catch up with stem cell tissue regeneration or multiple artificial disk replacements. Still waiting but had to have spine reconstruction in 2009. I have been forbidden to exercise since 2004 and have gained 120 pounds!!! I'm hoping this sleeve procedure will be a tool in helping me to get back to a healthy weight, since I am no longer able to exercise. Anybody with similar story, would love to connect.
