  2. Great job! You have done well and should be proud of yourself!
  3. Okay I slipped up again, was craving Taco Casa... Large Dr Peoper with 3 refills, 4 soft tacos and one meat burrito later I'm feeling like crap once again. So ready for the sleeve... Can anyone tell me on how the hunger issue is with the sleeve? And the cravings?
  4. Wow that's around 200 sleevers!
  5. Hope you get better, thanks for the story, helped us pre sleevers know what to expect day to day
  6. Yesterday was my last day of eating out, my liquid-diet doesn't start till march 13th, but I've realized now why I'm getting sleeved. If I keep eating like I do, I'm on a pathway to a coffin. It's fun eating hamburgers till I'm full and all you can eat buffets, but I ask myself? What do I get in return? HBP High cholesterol Bigger waste Feel like crap One day closer to diabetes And money wasted... Every time I get the thought of backing out of getting sleeved, I think of living a healthy life and how I feel after eating junk. Please keep me on track fellow sleevers, I've got 16 days till my day! Thanks for everyone's help, opinion and the ones that are nice enough to stay on the forum after getting sleeved helping us pre-sleevers! We really appreciate everything!
  7. I ate my last Cici's buffet meal today... I feel like crap, I'm start my liquid diet march 13th, but I think I'm gonna start it early.. I'm ready to leave this lifestyle, cannot wait to get the sleeve and do my best to live a healthy lifestyle...
  8. 2 Cadbury eggs! They were so good!
  9. Cadbury eggs! Darn it, gee thanks for mentioning those, now I'm headed to CVS to get some!!!!
  10. I agree with you all! I know I'm not gonna miss these days, bc nothing has really changed for me over the past few years bc of it. Failed diets and overeating until I'm full is the story of my life. I havnt been under 200 pounds since elementary school. My peak was 270, I lost 60 pounds on ephedra back in 2003, but the side effects were driving me insane. I gained 40 pounds back after a bad accident and been fluctuating between 230 and 250 ever since. My biggest reason for the sleeve was my health. A cholesterol level of 240 for the past 6 years is on a highway to triple bypass and who knows what else. I walk my dogs 3-5 days a week for at least 2 miles, and I usually get a little run in with 2 German shepherds. But... With eating out of control and never being full it's a loose...loose situation. I left this decision up to God, I prayed about it and God blessed me with the finances to pay for it. I feel no doubts about the sleeve, except waiting so long to get it. I was scheduled for the lap band last year, but was scared away after hearing a lot of people were not successful with it and the side effects are just a nightmare. I love this forum, THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING EACH AND EVERYONE WITH ANSWERS, REPLIES AND SUPPORT!!! Y'ALL ARE EXQUISITELY AWESOME AND IM VERY THANKFUL OF EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU!
  11. Just wanna know if I'm not the only one that ate all they could before the liquid diet. I'm going crazy with food right now, eating out and all that I can. I start my liquid diet on March 13th and get sleeved on the 20th...
  12. I agree! Good luck to you! I have heard countless people talking about nightmares with the lap band, so go with your instinct!
  13. More than excited, I have a countdown on my iPhone and I think about it all day. I know I'm gonna have the gitters when the big day comes!
  14. Hello everyone, I'm from Dallas/Mesquite and I'm getting sleeved March 20th!
  15. Hello! I saw y'all north texans talking and decided to join in! I'm from Dallas and I'm scheduled for March 20th! I'm also going to Dr Stowers, too! I couldn't afford Dr Kim, my insurance is crap (city of Dallas is cheap) so I'm doing the cash price as well. Y'all take care!
  16. Thanks! I feel the same as all of you when it comes to the LB. I hated the fact of having refills and seeing the port area getting infected and the thought of the band slipping was just unreal! Take care everyone, and thanks for the feedback!
  17. Hey bro, just saying shoot for the stars! You have nothing to loose but weight! Go for it, a week of pain is worth a lifetime of health benefits. You only live once, and if your like me, well I have less than 2 weeks before I start my liquid diet, and I'm eating all I can! I'm ready for the change, to be healthy and feel good about myself. If anything, be happy and go for it. I am scared of the surgery, but I'm telling you I am overjoyed of being approved and ready to go for it. Trust me, I know you have doubts and there's always the what if's. But ask yourself this, IF YOU CONTINUE TO EAT AND DRINK THE WAY YOU DO NOW, how long will you live? I'm 30, and I believe if I do it now and start a new lifestyle, how many years will be added to my life? I feel that if I don't, I will die of a heart attack or have a triple bypass before I'm 50. And give this thought a piece of mind, WHAT WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE, A DOCTOR WORKING IN YOUR STOMACH OR YOUR HEART? Take care bro, and let us know what you choose!
  18. Have a wonderful night March 1st sleevers! Get some rest and I will say a prayer that everything goes well
  19. Hello, sorry to bother you... I was just wondering what your experience was overall with your sleeve? Thanks for your time
  20. I'm a March 20th sleever! Cannot wait to get this over... I got scared away from the lap and due to numerous reasons. But the sleeve seems so much safer and NO REFILLS!
  21. What are y'all's thoughts? I got approved for lap and last year, but got scared away...
  22. Don't ever let someone opinion offend you. Smile at them and say God bless you. God made us all different shapes and sizes. Most of us that are overweight are just not happy with ourselves and want the healthy body. You are beautiful and from your post I can tell you have a good heart. Stay strong and don't let society's a pinion of you dictate who you are and how God made you. As for me, my BMI is in the low 30's. Im 5'9 235, being in law enforcement it's a priority to be healthy bc your life and others depends on you being able to take care of yourself in a critical situation. Not exercising and bad eating habits got me in the situation I'm in now. I got approved for the sleeve due to borderline diabetes, HBP AND my ridiculous cholesterol levels and a few more health problems. I've tried diets, I exercise 4 times a week and nothing changes. My stomach is never full, I never seem to be satisfied with one sweet or snack, my body wants more junk food. One thing that I have to be able to realize and we all should, changing our eating habits and excising properly will keep us healthy. The sleeve will help us, but it takes dedication and hard work to keep us out of the situation were in now. WE ALL CAN DO IT! PRAY FOR EVERYONE THAT GOD BLESSES MAKING A BIG LEAP GETTING THE SLEEVE. KEEP US ON TRACK FOR A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE AND LONG LIFE AHEAD!!!
  23. I've been drinking the PREMIER PROTIEN shakes for a long time now! I love them, well the chocolate, I got burned out on the vanilla after the first 2... I learned to drink one with a 16oz bottle of Water, and it fills me up for hours. Also if you add some of the powder PROTIEN and skim milk to it, makes the stomach happy and full a little longer!
