  1. I'm 60 yrs. old (61 in July '13) Had my surgery Jan. 22. Started Pre-Op diet at 267.5. Lost about 12 pounds during 2 week pre-op. I weighed 223.5 this morning (-44 lbs) I have no problem with eating. Having to get use to eating slower and not planning my life around cooking/eating. I feel great except for a nagging backache that I understand comes with the weight loss sometimes. Hoping that goes away soon. My goal is to get to 190 pounds....maybe 185, but I have not weighed that little since the late 70's. I was on many different meds for high blood pressure (since 1979), diabetes and I also suffered from sleep apnea. I have been medication free since the day of my surgery. I can't believe it! My BS and BP are both normal and my wife says I don't snore like before the surgery. Wished I had done this sooner.
