  1. Preach on! I totally agree with you. I am very proud of the decision I made. I have told everyone. This is a life changing choice that we made so we could have a healthier life.
  2. I am getting ready to start refried beans tomorrow in my pureed stage....
  3. Well... I was sleeved on 3/27/2013. Today is my 8th post op day. I have threw up 3 times, almost blacked out at Wal-Mart, and went from 220 lbs to 202 lbs! There is good and bad with everything you do in life. I think my body is say "WTF!" I am trying to eat pureed foods, but I messed up yesterday. I ate pureed fruit. BAD, BAD, IDEA! That's why I have thrown up 3 times. I don't remember my doc saying no fruits... I have ate eggs & mashed potatoes. My favorite food that I have found is Breyers Chocolate Low Carb ice cream. It has 4 carbs, 2 or so grams of protein, and is made with splenda. I will be honest, I hate protein shakes. I know that I am not getting my daily protein needs - It is so hard. I am getting about 30 grams a day. My doc has on my diet plan 60-80 grams a day. Tomorrow I am going to try refried beans with cheese. So why did I almost black out.... I took my 2 BP pills that morning. I stopped taking them today and I feel so much better. I have to go buy a personal BP machine so I can check my BP. This is an adventure, and it's already getting started!
