  5. I was in Red Hats for several years and enjoyed the heck out of it. However, almost everone in our group eventually went back to work until we finally closed our chapter. I an thinking about finding another local chapter. I seem to feel a little better each day and will go to the dietician this Thursday and should be starting whole foods. Keep up the good work!
  6. I had my VSG surgery on Feb. 4 along with Hiatal Hernia repair. So far so good! One little annoyance is the burping after eating or drinking. I started out at 227 and when I weighed on Feb. 24th, was down to 208. I was diabetic with high blood pressure and have been able to stop my diabetic medicine and hope to be off BP meds soon. I am 60 and thought that might be a problem but had no problem getting BC/BS of Illinois to approve. Only wish I had done this several years ago. Don't let age hold you back!
  7. I also had my surgery on Feb. 4 which included Hiatal Hernia repair and came home yesterday afternoon. I was very tired yesterday but have been up walking some today and took a shower. When I try to drink something I get pain and have to burp or think I will explode. Have this pressure in my upper chest but one of my nurses said this is normal and not to get scared that I am having a heart attack.
