I have not had ice cream yet... but sure i will someday - WW sounds like a good idea!
I just thought it was odd how it took several hours before I had symptoms - I remember reading others experiences and it sounds like it happens pretty much right away???
Once I stopped weighing myself everyday - my sanity returned and I began to actually enjoy the process and just check in on the number 1-2 times a week then am happy to see a few pounds progress. I don't think there is any way this isn't going to work for me or you!
I am beating myself up for this one - 6 wks post-op and last night I drank 2 iced-down glasses of wine over about 2 hour period. It was dumb and I was not thinking because at 4 am I awoke with a burning tummy. TMI - but the bathroom was not pretty: sweating, wanting die, other gross things and me laying on the cold bathroom floor... I am thinking it was the sugar in the wine that caused the "dumping"?? I feel like craaaap today.
I was sleeved on 1/28 and called the surgeon today about that pain... Its like a sharp poke/pull rip ouchie between my two bottom slits. As long as the pain is not coming from under the ribs that radiates to my back (which could indicate gallbadder problems) and there is no leaking or fever, he said I should be fine and just keep up with pain meds. He is sending me for blood tests to be sure though!
My rule - when in doubt, call the office.
I am on full liquids till Monday (will be 2-weeks worth). My savior has been the strained cream soups. I add the powered milk to the milk I add to the soup to increase the protein. I can only get about a 1/2 cup in but it satisfies the savory need since all my protein shakes taste so sweet!
