My name is Shelly, 42 yrs old, married,1 son, an RN and I live in Illinois I feel the same way. One day I'm beyond excited then the next I'm frantic and I think I should postpone lol It doesn't help me when I read some of the horror stories that happen I know this is the right choice for me though. My son (19 yrs) was sleeved in December and is down 94 pounds (30 before surgery and 64 in last 2 months) I know this works:) Good luck to all of us and we definitely need to stay in touch!!

My surgery is 2/28 too Haven't found anyone else with that date yet. My pre-op testing is Tuesday. Go from excited to anxious to scared lol Hope all goes well for ya

Our hospital just started doing gastric surgeries last fall. I have researched them all and feel that VSG is the best choice for me too. I've heard some horror stories about the band. My son had the sleeve done 12/17/12 and is down a total of 94 lbs (pre-op diet and after surgery). The results have been tremendous and I feel comfortable with my choice Congrats on making your choice!!

My nerves have been hitting me more today too. Not sure why. I'm excited about this new journey but always freak out with surgery I just keep trying to focus on the good and just getting past the surgery and waking up!! Lol Getting sleeved 2-25-13

Just curious, I love Zumba and wondering how quick you were able to get back to it after surgery? I'm scheduled for sleeve on 2-25-13.

My sleeve is scheduled for February 25th. Getting excited. My son was sleeved Dec 17th and down 90 lbs already with 30 of that lost prior to surgery Big changes at our house. Have lost some on Weight Watchers but tired if struggling all the time. Am a nurse in Missouri and ready for the changes. Good luck to all!!

Hi! New to this site I am being sleeved February 25th in Missouri through the hospital where I work as a nurse. Excited and nervous My son was sleeved December 17,2012 and is down 90 lbs. He lost 30 lbs prior to surgery but 60 in the past 6-7 weeks. Good luck to everyone!
