All my info was submitted yesterday!! Hoping for good results this time around. Was denied in December! I'm nervous wreck

Wow what a journey it has been for me! Last June i started this journey and have jumped threw sooooo many hoops. Was denied end of last year didnt have all info that insurance needed due to a coordinator not caring about her job ! Best thing happend she lost her job and i got a new coordinator that actually cared about my case! Thank u Tori! I have all my ducks finally lined up and should have no reason for denial! Bmi is over 35....2 cormorbites.... Phyc eval done... Sleep study done... Egd done... And 6 months worth of documented nutritionist visits....please send good vibs my way! His main office is in Corpus Christi but does surgreys in San Antonio as well! He has free seminars every month and goes into detail about everything . The lady's in his office are so helpful

Sorry my phone was acting crazy! I'm going to dr Lloyd stegemann with the better weigh center in San Anotnio Texas! He is one of the nicest dr I've seen! He is so caring and had great reviews! Hoping to have surgrey in may .

Well I did a 5k a few months ago ! It was a blast !! Now for normal day to day life i do not got jogging or running .

So I'm hoping to have my sleeve done in May and for those who are post op..... What are ur feelings on doing a 5k run 3 weeks after surgrey? Do u think ill be up for it ... Or most likely not!? Plus it's in June and I live in Texas soooo summers are usually pretty hot... Should I just skip this

Egd went well this morning! Trying remember everything that happened is pretty funny! My dad said I asked him the same questions over and over and I called my bf but don't remember! But anyways no soreness or anything just alittle tired can't wait till my son takes a nap! But until then we will just have bonding time watching a movie! Next step submit info to insurance! Hopefully ill have a April surgrey date:)

So I have my egd on Friday... Should I stop taking tynenol And maybe just take some Prilosec just incase?? This is my last step.... I've been dealing with getting approved since last June and don't want any other hold ups

Another hoop! Was told Friday one of my 6 month diet appt dosnt count! Sooo I have one more to do.

Yeah! Dr wrote letter and medicated me for cholesterol! I now meet all my requirements per UNITED HEALTHCARE ! BMi over 35.... 2 cormorbites... 6 month diet .... Phyc eval..enrolled into bariatric program .. And dr that works in center of excellence hospital! Just have to wait 2-3 weeks for nurse to call , guess they are behind ... Then I can resubmit everything to insurance . Working on this since June hopefully this approval process is near its end!

I don't have her direct number.... When she called me it was just from there main number ... When I asked to get transferred to her Shes never available or dosnt answer lol.

I was never told about 5 year history !! I'm gonna be HOTT if I was never told this . I spoke with the nurse that denied me and that was never brought up ....

I hated the sleep study... I don't even think i slept.. Wires all over your body. Stuff in your nose.... In your mouth and I'm a stomach sleeper and they said I really needed to try to sleep on my back. Good luck

On my plan they didn't cover sleep study.... But they gave me a discount since I had insurance..... I owe 400$ for my sleep study

I've been in your shoes !!!! Good luck I'm having a hell of a time getting approved! Already been denied..... I'm 5'5 as weigh 217 right now...... So my BMI is over 35 which is the min. I've done all my lab work have pre diabetes which is medicated and waiting on my dr to write a letter saying my cholesterol is border line... Hoping me medicated it! So I can have my 2 cormorbites... I have my 6 month diet ... Talked to phyco.... Did sleep study .... Now I just need to enroll into bariatric program but can't until I have TwO medicated health issues..... I've been dealing with this since JUNE!!!! It's hard and so stressful ! Good luck to u!

Well at this time I decided not to appeal with a attorney ..... I called my PCP and asked him to review my blood work and see if I was border line on any of my labs like blood pressure or cholesterol.... He said my cholesterol was borderline so I asked him of he could write a letter stating that and how it runs in the family..... So I called the bariatric program and tried to enroll again but they say it needs to be a medicated cormorbitity.... So I'm waiting for my dr letter to see if he stated its medicated ..... I've been calling everyday so see of he has written that letter and he hasn't.... It's been 2 weeks. Grrrrr I see my surgeon Monday was hoping to have it by then. But guess that was to much to ask. So I'm playing the waiting game like always! So I've been dealing with this for NINE months now. Hoping all the stress and waiting pays off soon.....
