  6. Only 2 things left for me to do that I have not fulfilled. Having sex with my man while he is standing up holding me up(not sure what that position is called). I use to run track/field in school but always wanted to train to run a marathon and I plan to achieve that after weight loss.

  8. I live in FL. I just had surgery Jan 28 I might can attend.
  9. I was sleeved Jan 28. I am resisting weighing myself or trying on 1-2 size smaller clothes that I had pre-surgery from when I was smaller till about 6 weeks after surgery. I walk daily & so far keeping to my fluid, vitamin & protein level. Ill post when 6 weeks come. Congrats to you all & much success

  11. Hi, im only 4 days out of surgery but I love your idea of Turkey balls. That is something I will try. Good luck
  12. Okay thanks everyone. I heard they are popular with cosmetic surgery patients so wondered if it would help gastric patients also with sagging skin.
  13. Yes I have one to given to me while in the hospital and it helps a lot
  14. Aetna required me to have 4 consecutive months visiting Gastric doctor ( no breaks 4 months straight), 1 psychiatric evaluation and 1 nutritional evaluation. I completed all the requirements within the 4 months and after submitting paperwork to Aetna I received approval in 9 days and just had my surgery January 28. My group insurance with Aetna became effective August 2012. I was 268 at 5'4 with sleep apnea and knee problems. I had no other medical issues and I was approved. Good luck and all I can say is follow their request and look forward to your approval. The waiting period help me to adjust my lifestyle to the new eating habits. So use that time to mentally prepare for your life long change. Joke between me and my sons is if it was easy we wouldn't need surgery. I was shocked at the some of the foods i was learning to wean myself off of prior to surgery was difficult.
  15. Some people have bloating veins as they call it. After 4 different IV sites and I started the swollen again I refused IV treatment and the nurse had to call me doctor who gave me liquid antibiotics by mouth. Remember as a patience you are legally allowed to refuse any treatment if it is causing problems. I refused mine and the doctor found an alternative method. This is not uncommon that some can not handle IVs for more than 6-10 hours.
  16. Has anyone used compression garments while losing weight? I saw this website and I wonder would these garments help. I am a newly sleeve patient. http://www.contourmd.com/Style-34-Mid-Thigh-Body-Garment-Pull-On-Contour Any advice with any products?
