Thank you for the advice. I definitely don't get enough water but I never feel "thirsty" so I didn't think it was a big deal. I will start drinking much more.
I have been getting dizzy lately (since Saturday). My surgery was 1/7. I am on puréed foods now and I find it hard to get more that 500 calories/day. What causes the light headedness? Has anyone else experienced this? Any quick cures?
I had a hiatal hernia that I didn't know about. My doctor fixed it during my sleeve surgery. I used to have terrible heartburn and reflux and since the surgery my heartburn has been minimal. I haven't even taken a tums.
I fell asleep on every visitor I had after a few minutes. I drifted off constantly while I was in the recovery room and I don't think it mattered that anyone was there. The nurses will take care of you and if you get lonely, just give yourself another dose of morphine with the pain pump and go back to sleep.
I haven't eaten meat (other than seafood) in 4 years. I was sleeved on January 7th. I'm on whole liquids now. I'm concerned that I will need to start eating meat again to get enough protein, but I think the taste and texture will gross me out. Anyone else have to convert back to omnivore after VSG? Or is anyone successfully getting enough protein without meat?
