I am going to Dr. Ortiz for my surgery and I justs talked to Dr. Miranda and she kicked my butt for not losing enough weight. I have three weeks till surgery and I need to get it in gear!!! I sing and shout when this pre-op is done. It is one the hardest things I have ever done. I know I can do it. Go Junies!!!!!

LilMonkey how much weight did you lose before the surgery? I have not been as careful as I should have been with my liquid diet but I have been staying under 500 calories a day.

Heather, It seems that I have allowed food to interfer with my life since I was a little girl. I am so excited to have this surgery and not be so obssessed with what I will be eating next.

My dr. put me on liquid protien diet only. I have to stay under 500 calories per day. It is really hard but I got a supplement to help with the hunger pains.

I am scheduled in one month and you post has made me more determined not to cheat. Do you know of anyone they would not do the surgery on because they did not lose the prescribed weight? How was your experience with Dr. Ortiz? I have hear a lot of great reviews and then others who say they wish they would have done it here in the states because of after care ? What do you think.

I am having my surgery done in Mexico with Dr. Oritz with Obesity Control Center. I feel really comfortable with my decsion after reading all of his credentials .

Hi Junies! I am scheduled for surgery on June 19th with Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. My insurance does not cover any type of WLS. I am of course self-pay and nervous. I have to lose 20-30 lbs before surgery day and am also having a hard time. I am using the Atkins drinks and they are the best that I have tried so far. I am so excited that I only have one month to go. Go June Bansters:clap2: .

I will be banded on June 20 with Dr. Ortiz and I am nervous. How much weight did you have to lose? I would love to hear about your experiences.
