  1. I have really bad osteo arthritis in both knees and after surgery was feeling great so started doing stairs and weights... Big mistake for me... Dr gave me cortisone shot and advised to stay away from treadmill and bike.. Do elliptical and/or Water aerobics instead. .. He also said not to do weights where I swing legs too far or push or hyper extend my knee....I wish I could be more active but it is important for me to be able to at least walk...so am following dr advice!
  2. My understanding is that if you add protein powder to your juicer your drink will have a lot of air bubbles... You may need to let it sit for awhile before drinking.

  6. I was sleeved a week ago, I was nauseous and throwing up hurt like I was breaking a rib. My nurse gave me stronger nausea medicine... Has that been tried? Also, my nausea started getting better each day... The nausea meds made me nauseous and so did Water. When I got home I made sure to take my meds with a Protein shake... I had regrets everyday, and now I'm starting not to have regrets..

  8. Thanks for encouragement... This Is hard for me because I am a former Lap band patient that had a lot of issues.... So I am extra terrified that this could be a bad decision that I can't turnaround.
  9. How long does the discomfort an nausea last? I'm really getting down about this, and hope you can help.

  11. Hello All, I'm in a similiar situation to the originator of this discussion. I had a band for 2 years, had it removed due to slippage, proceeded to gain back 50 pounds in one year - and am scheduled to have the sleeve surgery on Jan. 30,2013. I haven't told my family yet because they had to live through me throwing up all of the time. How did your families react, and how did you prepare them to support you again. I know it is ultimately my decision - but just looking to see if anyone else had a similar issue. Also, i'm terrified of any negative issues - were there any negatives you experienced with the sleeve that you did not experience with the band? I sure do appreciate your responses... i'm kinda scared so it is nice to hear from others that had similar experiences.
