1. I was banded November 16, 2006 and have had a couple of problems--needed a slight unfill once and am dealing with heartburn. I've lost 131 pounds and still have about 40 to go. But it's not easy to drop the weight anymore and I'm struggling.
2. O.K. Bubble. Time to get real. How is it? How does your sleeve compare to the band? Any problems? Any sliming, heartburn?? How about recovery time?
3. Good for you Bubble! I read your post some time ago regarding your problems with your band and your plans to convince your Dr. to remove it and replace it with the sleeve. I hope you will keep us posted on your progress with your fancy new tummy! You've proved to be a wealth of great information and I wish you the best of luck. Susan
4. Hi Denise and Bubble! I just reread as many of both of your posts as I could today to get a leg up on getting off this plateau. Just maddening! I'm down 115 pounds and have about 50 to go. I can't remember anytime in my adult life I've had only 50 to go but getting off this plateau is a real bugger! I just printed out Bubble's plateau busting diet by Dr. Fox. I'm going to try it starting tomorrow. I just want to thank both of you for all of your help through your posts. The first thing I do when I get on this website is do a search on you guys. Can't tell you how much it means to me. Susan
5. I made it to 115 big ones gone forever!! Thanks!
6. Get a grip!! As a former chef, wife of a chef, mother of a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and member of a whole family of terrific cooks, get your priorities in order! If you keep doing the things you always did, you will keep looking and feeling like you always do. Now's the time to take care of your problem. With the band your whole mindset will change. But it will take a while. My journey began in November of 2006. It took at least 6 months before I was able to pass up the dishes that contributed to my 365 pound frame and not feel deprived. But I did it. I'm still doing it. To date I'm down 115 pounds and still have a ways to go, but I'll get there. Stick with it. You can do it too. Work with your band. It's a wonderful tool. And good luck to you!
7. Hi everybody! What a great thread!! I was banded November 14, 2006 and as of late last month I'm down 110 pounds. 80 to go. It's slow going but entirely worth the trip! Good luck to all!!
8. As of this morning 103 gone!!
9. What happens to implants 10 years from now?
10. Just when this was getting interesting you guys go and change the subject. Dang!!
11. You can add me!! Finally at 100.5 big ones gone!!
12. Thanks Deanna! I can't wait to try this.
13.

Oh and one more thing--Lizi531--I would hate it too if the company I worked for handed out shits. Especially if I had ordered XL or larger ! Hang in there!

I know we all make typos--I make my share. I just couldn't let this one go.
14. Hello Denise. He's my doctor too and I can tell you that it is true--or at least it was for me. Susan
15. When I get on this website the first thing I do is a search on postings by Wasabubblebutt. I learned a long time ago that inside of Bubble lives a wise and beautiful person. We are lucky to have her posts.
