The seminar I attended seemed aimed toward bypass as well, but the doctor based that largely on results that showed faster and more excess weight loss vs. the band...commented on the heavy duty marketing of bands over the "gold standard" method of bypass surgery. I've just heard too many down to earth negatives about by-pass, (shall we mention "dumping"?) including how emaciated many "successful" patients look. Loosing my fluffiness is one thing. Becoming gaunt is quite another.
  2. Attended a seminar at NW hospital in Seattle. Have a consultation with Dr Chebli scheduled for the 21st. At the seminar he mentioned a Swedish band that expects FDA approval before the end of the year. If I learn more, I'll post, but interested if anyone knows anything about these differences - (although I do agree that if it works, it works!)
