  1. I had my surgery on 12/30 and just got home from the hospital today. I am a female veteran and had the surgery done 3 hrs away in a VA hospital. It took me 2 years to jump through all the hoops! Very pleased w/my docs and the hospital. I'm 237 and need to lose 90 lbs. Nervous about whether I will feel left out or deprived of former favorite foods. Tomorrow I go to 2 separate homes for Christmas. They will be eating regular Christmas dinners while I have my drinkable 'fare.' My doc was surprised I reported feeling hungry. He said most patients lose their appetite and have to make themselves eat. Uh oh. Am I in trouble? Let me hear from you. Thanks! :-)
