I'm still pre op I have 1 more class. Hopefully it will go by fast. I'm in Orange

I'm doing mine in Orange County. I'm just gonna do the class so they can't complain this coming Tuesday is my 10th class hopefully they will call me soon I've already done all my labs,sleep apnea, EKG. And lost so far 14 pounds I still have 8 pounds to lose. I haven't missed any classes so hopefully they look at all that.

I'm glad your doing good my last class is on march 26. But today I recieved a letter in the mail that my dr. Sent a referal for me to take the lifestyle and weight management class did you have to do that? It's only 1 class for 2 hours not so bad.

Yay!!!! I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 4 pound. how are you feeling?

Yeah we have 12 classes total. So far I've lost 10 pounds

That's what they said to me that I don't look that big. But I'm 5' feet tall and 238 with a bmi of 45. Just cuz we don't look that big dosent mean we don't have any medical problems. Don't let anybody tell you what you need to do. I've learned that I have to live in this body and with pain in my feet and can't walk for a long period of time. You take care of you that's all that matters good luck on your journey wish you the best and all happiness!!

Thanks so much. I was just scared that I would go through the options class not lose the weight and they would not approve me at the end :/ so glad to hear that it will all be worth it in the end

Do you go to kaiser SoCal?

Yeah mine is 250. Also when you get approved do they call you or will I get something in the mail?

Good morning, I just had my 9th class of options last night. And my BMI was 45 when my PCP sent my referral in for me to start options. But I was wondering what happens after you finish the classes? Do they send all your stuff in to the insurance for final approval or how will I know if I'm really approved for surgery?

How will you know when you are approved through kaiser?

How does it work do they send your referal to the insurance after your 12th class and then they will send you something?

That's what I was told if we don't lose the 10% our surgery can be denied. But hello that's why we're there we can't lose weight! I hope all goes well and you lose your 5 lbs

Thanks for your help guys!!! I weighed in tonight and lost another 3 pounds. Hopefully I can keep it up 3 more classes to go. Is your final weigh in at your 12th class or when you see the surgeon?

Tonight is my 9th options class. And I have only lost 8 pounds. Hopefully tonight's weigh in I've lost more well see. Wish me luck I'm scared that I won't lose my 10% and they might deny me anybody else have this problem???

Thanks for your help I'm the friend that Sarah is talking about. I have my 9th option class tomorrow and hopefully I lost more weight. If you don't mind me asking who was your surgeon and where did you take your options class? Thanks for your help and if you have any tips for me they would be greatly appreciated.
