Rev. I will just have to take precaution. The security I have as a big girl is knowing that all the boyfriends I have had have liked me as I am. I guess I'm just going to have to learn how to adjust to being smaller! Next month will be my surgery (fingers crossed!!)

Caleb's mommy, I totally understand. I like you am also pretty young, 22. However I'm not married or coupled up. My thing is not wanting to get attention from guys I just want a guy to also be attracted to my non physical good qualities. I fear that when I lose weight I will attract guys that only like me based on appearance. I feel like emotionally I will always be a big girl because that's how I became an adult and when I had major transformation and maturity! I cannot emphasize enough to my friends that I'm getting the surgery so I can like me and I can feel good. Most people think its about aesthetics or vanity!

@fyre_storm, I didn't know it also happened to men! Except instead if "pretty" it's "handsome face" lol. it's so rare to meet men that have had/are going to have the surgery. It's refreshing to hear from a male perspective!

@calebs mommy, it doesn't help me feel any better when people compliment me and then follow it up with a negative comment like that. I've learned to just get used to it. It's good to know I'm not alone. About friendships I've also been warned that I might lose friends when I lose all the weight because I can be seen as a threat. I don't know if you've heard of that one.

True, I think I'll call them on Wednesday if I havent heard from them yet.

That's good! I'm hoping to hear from my surgeon this week about an approval. So nervous but it will all work out.. It has to.

I'm trying! I've been taking on extra at work because the wait game is so stressful.

I've ways gotten the comments "you're so pretty, if you could lose weight you would be perfect." Thats really aggravating! I think one of the biggest lessons I've learned is that even after all the weight is gone, I'll still have flaws like normal size people also do. Nobody is perfect.

Really? My surgeon told me it takes 7-10 days to know. It's been a week. I'm so anxious to be approved and know my date.

Hi! I'm waiting to hear back from my blue shield *** insurance about approval for my surgery. Does anybody have this insurance and if so, how long did it take to get approved after submitting all the paperwork?

I agree! I'm so anxious. Everybody around my is excited for me except me. It's like I can't be happy and excited until I know my date. But yea in so anxious and restless that I need to remind myself not to freak out and be so worked up about it.

I find myself snapping at people because I'm so anxious. Part of me feels like this is too good to be true and something is going to go wrong. I think I need to know the day to feel at peace and relaxed. I'm so envious of people that have a date already!!

Hi all, My insurance required a 6 month program before I could have surgery. As of Friday the 9th. I am done with all the pre op hoops including my pre surgery weight loss goal. My surgeon submitted my paperwork to my insurance to get a date. I'm so upset and so ready to hear what my date is. Is anybody else waiting to hear for their date also really anxious? I am hoping I'm not alone!

Mrs D, yes it was quite a lengthy process. We have a program in my hometown called healthy steps. I had a 6 month program. I saw an exercise physiologist, dietician, nutritionist, as well as having to lose my pre surgery weight loss goal. I also needed a psych eval to assure I was "sane enough to consent to surgery" It has Ben a lengthy process so far.

I guess what I mean to ask is. Even with a pregnancy will a pregnancy stretch out my skin a lot? Should I just wait until a after I have kids who knows when to then get a tummy tuck?

Hi all, My insurance will cover part of a tummy tuck to remove extra skin after I have surgery. My surgery is next month. However, I don't has kids yet! And one day I want to have kids. Would it be wise to get a tummy tuck if one day it will get stretched out again?

I'm currently waiting for my insurance to authorize my surgery. Then I'll know my December date. Can't wait
