  1. Fantastic!! I couldn't believe the 20 lbs loss either. I know the weight loss will slow down eventually, but this sure is fun. Congrats!
  2. Thanks for the replies. I know that my body and mind will need to adjust. Today's more dense food has given me a bit of diarrhea! Have a great day!
  3. Hello sleevers, I just wanted to check in with everyone who is one week out from surgery. Today is my one week and I am amazed to tell you I have lost 20 lbs.! Wow! This is the BEST decision I have ever made. Yesterday, as I was finishing the last day of my clear liquid diet post-op, I found myself wondering how my new tummy and reformed digestive system would react to the denser food I started today. Well I got my answer this morning about 15 minutes after breakfast! No worries, this is nothing and definitely won't slow me down. Part of my "rehab" from obesity has been to create a Pinterest board. It's an ongoing project, but is full of information, inspiration and ideas. Check it out: http://pinterest.com/coufals/life-after-weight-loss-surgery/ Let's check in each week and share our success. Happy Sleeving! Jana
  4. Hello, Thanks for interest in my Pinterest board! You can find it here: http://pinterest.com/coufals/life-after-weight-loss-surgery/ I also have started a Blog about my weight loss journey. You can find that here: http://myweightlossaftervsg.blogspot.com/ I hope the board has lots of good inspiration, information and ideas for all. If you think it could be imporved or is missing something, let me know! Thanks for looking!
  5. Hello all. My name is Jana, I am 49 years old and was sleeved on the 15th. I've been fighting pain on the left side, but it gets better each day! I am looking so forward to the full liquid stage, which for my surgeon and nutritionist means cottage cheese! I have lost 15 lbs. and am looking forward to my new lifestyle. I've created a board on Pinterest that has all kinds of potential recipies once I'm on full foods. But for now I can't wait to have food other than broth, isopure, and sugar free popsicles.
  6. What a great idea. I am married to a wonderful man, Jeff. We have been married for 22 years. We have two wonderful daughters, a son-in-law (who is a chef) and the cutest grandson ever! I am a teacher and have been teaching for 21 years. We live in the beautiful state of Colorado and I can't wait to get on a bike and enjoy the beautiful scenery in my own "back yard". I didn't begin struggling with weight until a series of surgeries and I guess a lack of motivation. Just 3 years ago I had a benign meningioma (brain tumor) removed successfully. Each year I have to go back and get an MRI (YUCK!). Well after the brain surgery, I just decided I was going to live life, and in my view that meant eating whatever I wanted and succumbing to my penchant for margaritas! I am looking forward to traveling to the world, especially the beaches of the world. I love to read, watch my youngest daughter play NCAA softball, travel, and DIY projects around the house.
  7. I am a November sleevester! My surgery is tomorrow, Nov. 15. This has been a very long road and I am so glad to be here. Good luck to all!
