Hello all its been a while since i posted ; have had an NG tube down my nose for a month saw the Dr today going to have a G - tube placed next wk . I have lost 80lbs in 3 months it has really been a trying time for me & my family.

They believe the pouch was caused by continuous vomiting

Hello all. Just returned from dr again 10 days since tube placement no vomiting since i was looking for good news but no such luck. Still have pouch on side of stomach & tube has slid out of juijenum & not sits just below pouch. So now dr wants me to lay off protein down to 50gr a day & start getting 800 cal a day & keep tube in 2 more weeks. Im so confused as well as pissed off i just feel like im getting a run around. I would bet in 2 wks he recommends surgery lets watch and see

Hi iggy. First tube i vomited out so they placed second larger one farther down into the gut. The hope is the pouch in the stomach will close up on its own or may have to go back in and remove it

Just got home from hosp stay my dr says he is confused seems i have a pocket that fills then shuts off the rest of my stomach. So now i have a NG tube suppoesdly to rest my stomach i dont know how long i can stand the tube Very uncomfortable

Thanks for your story i hope they get me figured out soon just spent another 24hrs in hosp for vomiting & dehydration. see my surgeon tomorrow

No cultures. But all my lab values where good no signs of bleeding or infection.

I know i need the fluids. Had a CT & EGD this weekend thats when dr said old blood & virus. Who knows

I am taking carafate , protonix & phenergan already. Just saw my dr friday as i was in the hospital & was vomiting upon my discharge. I wished i could get one quart of water a day , two 20 oz bottles is a good day for me. Thanks

No not a thing different woke up feeling bad sipped water all day only got about 3/4 a bottle today began vomiting again this evening

Afraid so i just dont get it felt ok yesterday & back to N/V today

I had bad reflux & used crushed OTC prilosec had to cut open capsules then crush. Talk with your Dr.

I would like to thank everyone for there post, suggestions & comments. I see a little bickering on some of the post please know that opinions are just that opinions. Lets all look at our lives & be thankful for what we have... we lost 3 young people in our small community this weekend one was a co-worker of mine it made me realize even though i am having a tough time i am still here with my family & friends i pray for the families of those we lost & give thanks for everything i have as well as some peace for the families . Hey katie feeling a little better today . Had to go back in hospital friday morning but was released sat afternoon, no vomiting for a couple days now so i consider that a plus.

Hello all ; just got home. began vomiting uncontrollable Thursday afternoon went to E/R after CT was sent back to my surgeon for abscess & fluid around my stomach. Luckily he said no abscess just irritation of stomach & old blood around it. Have gastritis due to a virus which caused the vomiting to begin with is the thought. So clear liquids for a while & new meds will see what develops. Thanks

Asleeve for me if you read my original post it is not asking for advise but simply stating what has happened to me & my situation & asking pre sleevers to be sure to know what COULD happen. I did not mean for it to come across as urgent or a call for help thanks

Wow yeah that's it given to me by a friend who was sleeved a few months ago. Well the rest will go in the trash. Not taking any antiemetics such as zofran but am taking a ppi. Thanks so much for the info

Sorry to hear about your complications, yes the weakness is indescribable. The thought of a tube or IV nutrition has crossed my mine but it will be a last resort. My last visit with my Dr. He was concerned about my fluid intake as well as protein so much so he told me " i dont care if you ever eat! " i know i will not get better without protein & need water for the kidneys & to prevent dehydration. Have been sipping on a protein shot all morning so far so good have some nausea but keeping it down
