I've already maybe up my mind to have surgery in Mexico with Dr. Garcia. I've paid my deposit and all. Surgery date is feb 5th. But I will take that advice and check my insurance.

My hair is my everything. I've made chemical changes. Relaxers, bleaches, dyes. Lucky me my hair has always been healthy despite the changes i put my hair through. It stayed long and beautiful. In 2010 I decide to go natural the most drastic change since then was going from 18' transitioning to 12' natural. And it's grown back out to about 16'. I agree I want my body to Benin point. But I still don't wanna lose all my hair. But maybe it won't be that bad. It's curly so I could rock a cute curly fro.

Hey everyone, about 30 mins ago I paid my deposit for my surgery. Flights booked just waiting for passport and tomorrow I sit down with my human resource manager to file all my paperwork for FMLA and short term disability.

I just paid my deposit. Today, 30 mins ago actually. I am so excited and ready for this journey.

Not leaving with my birth certificate. I don't like Other ppl having control over my important paperwork. But yea I'm not traveling until Feb. The lady said ill have it before I travel

I'm at the passport place and she said the state will have to mail my birth certificate back to me. I need this passport. But I'm worried about this.

Woot woot woot woot.... I got my date and flights booked. Arrival 2/4/13, surgery 2/5/13 and I don't have to go alone anymore. My god friend and her mom is going with me. I am super excited and nervous all at the same time.... Just wanna scream for fear and joy. My emotions are all over the place right now. But it'll be worth it in the end.... I still would like to be support buddies with you guys. Keep in touch etc.

I know a lot of ppl who are having surgery in the US goes to see the doctors at certain points after surgery. So I wonder if the is a guideline for my physician to follow and things for her to check for at certain points after surgery? That would be so great.

I am super excited. I had a appt. with my PCP today. I was very very nervous that she would turn her nose up at me. Well she was actually great about it. Gave me her okay and guaranteed her support. And when I told her I was considering Mexico. She didn't shoot down the idea. It isn't her first choice but she will support me regardless if the choice. She understands my struggle.
