1. Yes. Very slowly though bc the wound is so deep. But all the nurses that come to repack me always say it looks meaty lol. Apparently its good that the inside of the hole looks like a fresh cut of meat
2. I was cold each time I came home from the hospital but it got better after a few days.
3. Oh and add me people! I appreciate all the support the people on here are amazing!!! My profile will soon cover me up to this point. I haven't been taking over all pics yet. I've been swollen for so long no pics! Lol.
4. This photo was taken 2-2. Not trying to gross anyone out I just feel people should see this. I have yet to have a day with out pain. My wound has to stay open and heal from the inside out. This is not commen! So dont freak out....hard to say right. At this point yes I have lost weight. I never had a true addiction to food. I've just been big my whole life. I dont miss food. I'm never hungry. I'm just out of work way longer than expected. I will update my profile here soon people. I even have all my costs lol. Anthems website lists everything. I have so much o need to pick a day I have patience.
5. Ok so I hope I don't gross anyone out this pic was taken 2-2 in the hospital. I have now lost all modesty and nothing grosses me out lol. For the record this is not commen. This is the incision my stomach was removed through. It's an infection caused by that. A very small percentage get this. I had extreme pain constantly from day one. I had a one week follow up and I was told I looked fine. I was like how am I fine??? I see people up and ready to go in a week. 4 days later I step into the shower and stuff started shooting out of my incision. My belly truly looked ok at the drs visit.
6. I haven't been on this since the hospital. And I've been scrolling through and I see my sn a few times lol. I'm home from the hospital with an open hole due to infection. I will say so far this has been a horrible experience. I hope the end result is worth it. I will eventually update my profile when I have the patience! I have a lot I want put on here I have all my pricing ing thank god for insurance lol.
7. Infection in the incision that the stomach is removed through. It has to heal open so it has to be repacked twice a day. It got worse so I had to go back to the hospital on continuous iv antibiotics. A nurse comes now twice a day for a short period of time. The hole was 3" deep it is now 2.5 sad part is all my other incisions are healed.
8. Not good. I'm supposed to leave the hospital tomorrow.
9. They give me xanex 30 mins prior and I'm on a morphine pump every 6 mins.
10. I'm not constipated at all. My surgeon left instructions yesterday before she left. I'm not allowed certain solid foods til Feb 10th someone here isnt paying attention.
11. I'm on a morphine pump and they give me xanex. I am on a liquid diet but I haven't.been eating what they bring me. I asked for yogurt they looked confused. Also I'm on a set Vitamin regimen. I haven't had any of those since Thursday. They brought me an egg for Breakfast. I guess everyone is confused. I feel like this wound is never gonna heal. I also have a small meltdown when they change me. Since I've been on liquids I haven't had but 2 bowel movements since 1-16.
12. Thank you everyone so much for checking on me. It means alot. -Nicole
13. I'm going to be in the hospital all weekend on heavy antibiotics. All not other incisions are healing great. The infected incision is still open along with the 2 holes the infection caused. I am a rare case everyone. I just like letting ppl know what can happen. I had issues with the incision from day one. It hurt horribly and I never had a good day. After my one week follow up I was told I looked fine even though there was still a lot of pain. Within days the infection spread mind you I had no fever just a red belly.
14. They sent me home with a disolveing pill you put under your tongue for cramping and one for nausea. I can't remember their names. I'm back in the hospital so they have me on iv....but they worked.
15. It's a soft tissue infection no one knows what exactly it is though. They have put be on 4 diff bags of antibiotics one was even an antifungal. Makes me believe they just really don't know. They have to repack it a few times aday. Talk aboit painful. Even morphine doesn't take the pain out of the incision site. Oh and that incision was the one they used to pull the stomach through.
16. These show how bad they had gotten. On one the skin hadn't come off yet and the small purple circles with stuff in them ended up being holes after my skin peeled.
17. Deep tissue is clear, I'm on antibiotics, antifungal and back on pain meds. The button that I can press every 6 mins. It's morphine. I am at Maryview hospital Portsmouth VA. Also where I had it done. I'm just in the rare group that this happens to. I haven't had a good day since surgery 1-6. Hopefully once this clears up no more issues.
18. I'm going in for a ct scan soon. They are going to see how bad the infection is. I was find out if I have to have surgery to remove it.
