I have been overweight my entire life. I have been gaining at a stead pace for the past few years between extreme yo-yo dieting and exercise anorexia. As I have gotten older it has become harder to have extreme self control, or any self control, bringing my binge eating and extremities cycle to an end.

At the end of this past spring semester (may 2011) I began to excerise and eat under the guidance of weight watchers.

With no luck, I approached my primary care who gave me the number of dietician. In the fall, I began a diet called 622. Six ounces protein, two servings fruit/juice, 2 servings vegetables a day in congruence with protein supplements and diets. I could not fill my hunger. I felt like I broke my metabolism.

I talked to the nuturionist and thus began the phentermine phase. A few weeks in I declined the pills do to jitters, heart palpataions, insomnia, and restlessness. I was never hungry, but I couldn't hold myself together.

About this time I hit bottom. I thought nothing would change.

Until my mom suggested getting lapband surgery. As I did research and met with a surgeon, and underwent seminars I changed my tune to vertical sleeve gastrectomy. It seemed more long term, and more likely to yield results without unwanted side effects.

I did all my screenings, discovered I have thyroid disease, and now I'm just waiting for my call to set my surgery date. So much hope is hinging on this surgery. Until then I'm just waiting and waiting... Please Call! :(
