I guess were in the same boat because I'm sooooo nervous....I thought I was ready but now that it's getting so close I'm second guessing my decision....I leave it in gods hands....but for me there's no turning back so I will have to shake these jitters over the weekend:)

Im praying everything goes according to plan for u....These insurance companies take us through so much crap to get approval....I have faith that you will be on the losers bench by the 13th....good luck and keep us posted.

yup almost there!!! Thanks so much for your prayers and kind words!!! I almost backed out of this whole thing but like you said we have to be grateful for this opportunity...I believe God will never give me more than I can bear and I stand on his word....I'm ready!

My surgery date was changed from 12-11-12 To 12-12-12........That seems to be the date of new beginnings.....Keep me in prayer please!

so glad the numbness was nothing too serious and I pray it has gone away and will stay away.....sounds like your doing pretty good besides that one scare...I have to tell you, that chicken and dumpling soup sounds deliciousssss!!! I have to try that! You had me lol at you going to get that carmel maceio and not swallowing :lol: I love those and I'm going to have to try that....hey at least it will give me my little fix....lol please keep me posted on your progress....also my doc called today and changed my surgery date from 12-11-12 to 12-12-12 so now I'm all over the internet trying to read into this date......something about all 12's but I found this www.simion7d.com/December2012.htmlThey suggest its a date to sorta bury the old and in with the new.....I was impressed and felt a little better with my new date. Wow so glad your doing a little better....take it as easy as possible and stay hydrated.....I will be going in on the 11th and I pray I do as good as you and have no regrets.....

Congrats!!!!!! how is your recovery going so far? Were you in a lot of pain? Any complications?

well hello December 11th sleeve sister. Welcome to the group..... I guess we all have less than 2 weeks to be on the losers bench....

so I finally decided to try my whey protein shake this morning..... I mixed 1 scoop with about out of water .... Yuck yuck yuck yuck !!! maybe I should have tried mixing it with skim milk instead of water..... I guess I will be going on that website that everyone talks about called Unjury.com I hear that there chicken broth is D licious and full of protein I have to try it...... I guess I will be placing my order today and possibly receiving it by next week... now I can understand why some people say that the protein shake make them gag after surgery. I cannot even handle the protein shake prior to surgery so I can imagine what post surgery would be like... any suggestions on great tasting protein?

Your right about complication being the exception and not the rule......well have you started your liquid diet yet and if so have you found it to be hard at all? I'm starting mine 2mar!!! well woo hoo for us all......as far as canceling goes it has been like second nature.......first I was given a August date which I canceled because I felt the whole process was moving extremely to quick......Then I was given an Oct date which I canceled because of all the negative feed back I was getting from friends and family...(i.e....Just join a gym or what if you die during surgery) gave it some thought and canceled it........Then after going into a deep depression in Late Oct/early Nov, I called to reschedule and was given this new date of Dec 11th which I refuse to cancel and have instead casted all my worries and cares on the Lord!!

Hi fellow sleevers........I will be getting sleeved on Dec 11th and to say the least, I'm scared as all hell......I'm known for canceling my surgery date and rescheduling do to complication fears.....I'm currently 240 lbs and 5'5 which is just extremely to much weight for my height. I don't have many supporters in my life and think this site is the perfect place to get support from people who really care.....I've been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember...I'm depressed all the time and always accusing my husband of cheating because of how insecure I am with self......This has to stop!! I'm ready to get my life back and get off this damn couch......Is there anyone else having their surgery on or around Dec 11th?? Let's share our journeys and help support eachother!!!

hello there!!! So happy to here your great news.....I also will be getting my sleeve on dec 11th in newark nj.....I'm scared as all heck and have even considered canceling the date... I know, I should be excited but I keep having these weird dreams about having no stomach....lol..................I feel so much better having others such as yourself getting sleeved on the same date!!! Yaaaaaay.....please keep us posted and we will keep you in prayer!!!
