  3. I have a nut but I am one of these people that like to hear it from more than one source. Especially from someone that has actually had the surgery and knows first hand. Your numbers are right what she told me. Mu nut also said that the protein is the most important above everything else. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
  4. Hi Everyone......I have my surgery next Thursday and I thought of a couple of questions. I was told that usually after surgery and fo rthe first year or so the stomach holds about 6-8 ounces. Is this true? And also...I was also told that total calories after surgery for generally the first year also are around 600 - 800. True also? Any information will be appreciated. My head is spinning.....

  7. Hi Everyone....Got my surgery date...October 25th. Next Thursday! :-) So excited....but also nervous and apprehensive.
  8. Hi Everyone....I did not know where to post this. I am 48 yo and am having trouble making the decision as to what type of WLS I want to have. I have finished all my qualifying tests and have my pre-op appt Tuesday. My doc lets us make the choice to whether we have the Sleeve or Bypass. There are pros and cons to each. I am 5'7" and weigh 282. I need to be about 140 to be in a range that feels good for me. So that means I have to lose about 140 lbs. My head is in the right place to be successful...I just am having problems deciding. What helped you decided? Any help will be very appreciated!!!!
