  1. Thank you! I'm going to talk with my PCP to see what she thinks I should do.
  2. Hey y'all! I just scheduled my VSG for November 14th with Dr. Garcia in Mexico. I was wondering, what you're looking forward to or if you've had the surgery what the best nsv you've had is?? I'm looking forward to having kiddos! That's the main reason for getting this done! I'm also looking forward to smaller clothes(right now I'm a 28 pant), I'm looking forward to being lighter than my husband hes 240lbs I'm 350 :-( ), running in my companies annual race for awareness 5k, buying cute panties/bras, having my husband pick me up(he does it now but I'm always afraid I'm going to crush him), the list goes on and on! :-)
  3. Thank you ladies, I'm just worried that i'll get prego before surgery and I don't want that. Im going to ask if I can stay on it til.a month out.
  4. Hey ladies! So I just scheduled my VSG for November but my surgeons office told me to stop my birth control. I'm worries stopping it will cause me to get prego before surgery and then it will be all for nothing.... Don't get me wrong I want to have babies, that's the reason I'm having this surgery but I dont want them when I weight 350 lbs. Did your dr not want you taking Birth control 2 months before your surgery? Thank you ladies!

  8. That's wonderful! I can't wait for that! I'm always nervous when we go to movies or out to eat that they will sit me in a booth and I'll have trouble getting in or get stuck getting out. Can I ask, how much have you lost? I am currently at 348lb....I need to get to 330lb before scheduling surgery. I can not wait until I can fit into something that is smaller than a 4XL.... I'm wanting to get down to 160 in a couple years and then having Kiddos.....sorry I keep rambling.
  9. Very true, Gaye. I don't want to do anymore surgeries than necessary. How's it being sleeved?
  10. Yeah it's taking everything out. My hubby will think he's starving. LOL. But I gotta do what I gotta do! That's great 22lbs in 3 weeks!
  11. I'll have to cut out more carbs. Maybe that will work for me too.. Thanks!
  12. Thank you! I'm going to take everything out of my house! I nee to buckle down and do this.
  13. Hello everyone, This is my first post. I'm currently in the process of losing the weight I need before getting surgery. I need to lose 24lbs so far I've lost 6....my only problem is I keep wanting to eat things that I shouldn't. I know it sounds horrible but I want to eat things before I can't. Don't get me wrong I want/need this surgery! But I can't stop nibbling on random stuff, like brownies, muffins etc. I have a sweet tooth. Anyhoo, what did all y'all do to overcome this. I have been trying to not nibble on things but it hasn't been happening. I need to just buckle down and get this done. Thanks everyone for the support y'all!
