  1. I had surgery this morning. Was up and walking this afternoon. Yes, I have a bit of gas pain but honestly it's hardly noticeable. And yes, I can feel soreness around the wounds but they are small! I haven't had any pain meds at all - walking makes me feel better. If anyone is worried about an upcoming sleeve surgery, I can tell you my experience is that even with gas pain there is nothing to this. Let the losing begin!!
  2. I'm 1030 tomorrow. Mixed emotions for sure. It would be nice to keep in touch with you fellow sleevers. Good luck to us all - see you on the flip side
  3. Hey there, My surgery is this Monday December 10 and I completely understand what you are feeling. I'm excited and can't wait to get it done, but I'm also just starting to feel the enormity of what is about to happen. Good luck & best wishes
  4. Excellent question - made me stop in my tracks. I just got my call for surgery for December, and I've been on the fence about telling anyone (sadly, even including people in the local support group - but this is based on the fact that I don't want to disappoint those who have been waiting longer than I). I guess the thing is that *hopefully* as the weight comes off and people notice, I'll be telling everyone anyhow just so that they know I'm not ill or something. I haven't digested the news yet either - it means my life is going to change and I will not be The Fat Girl anymore - its a lot to handle. But I can do it!
