You have said everything I have felt .....Congratulations~ I am scheduled July 1st ~ can't wait

Knowing for years I was the "fat" friend everyone tries to stand in front of when pictures are taken because I have such low self esteem. Knowing that one day I want to ride the rides at Six Flags with my future grandchildren. To stand beside my daughter the day she get's married and not be embarrassed by the way I look. To walk beside my husband and make him feel proud of the person he married 28 years ago....to live again and not be embarrassed that I can't fit into airlines seats, booths, seats at sports events, movie theaters. In the end there is so much more to life to see, touch and explore in this short life that we live....I long for the day I can walk into any store without going to the plus size department pick out something cute and it actually fits...that day tears will be shed. The day people notice me instead of saying your so funny, your face is so pretty, etc.....

July 1st with liquid diet starting June 24th...Went today for my pre-op. Dr Kim is my surgeon. I think I am going to have a "food" funeral say goodbye to those things I no longer wish to place in my body and embrace the new life I am going have~ Excited however; would be a liar if I did not say I am also nervous~

Got my date as well 12/13/12...looking forward to a new me....

He mentioned about a possible hernia but never about possibly getting any monies back....wow another one of God's blessing's if that happens but then I don't want a hernia either so a catch 22 isn't it? My friend had her's with Dr Kim as well on Jan 30th has lost 90-lbs. We had dinner the other night and she looks absolutely great, happy, healthy a glow that I never saw in the 20+ years I have known her. She has been a great asset with advice and knowing that not everything that worked for her will work for me. Dr Kim is very direct and honestly if your looking for bedside manner he is not your guy but his staff you could not ask for anyone nicer. I am okay with him not being great bedside manner...all I care about is his experience, results and past patients experiences...all of which have been good. I have started writing in a journal to help with my emotions, excitment, etc. I have only told a few friends and my immediate family. My friends said December 13th Christmas time...my response. There will always be other holidays, etc and this is no different so bring on December 13th... Thank you all for the information and support. I can't wait for December 13th.

My surgeon is also Dr Kim but scheduled December 13th. I would have it done tomorrow but unfortunately my work travel is what put me behind. I am so excited. I have a friend who has had the sleeve and doing fantastic. I am hooked on these blogs reading, gathering information not all information but the things that pertain to me. I am excited for you and for everyone in this journey. I look forward to the old me coming back out to be the new me~

Scheduled mine December 13th with Dr Kim...I am self pay only waiting because i am traveling for my work the next 7 weeks...or I would have it tomorrow if I could. Congratulations and good luck ~ Not sure about you but I am ready for a new me.....
