They don't care about me getting the surgery, I've had NUMEROUS cousins get WLS...it's the Mexico part that my family is against!!! It's to the point where no one will come with me and I don't want them too..I am really thinking of just leaving for the 4 days and not tell anyone!!! Unfortunately, I have to let them know because I have a child that my parents have to take care of while I'm gone!!! My mom told my dad, my dad told my uncle, my uncle told my cousin etc....Just a big mess!!! Lol...I haven't even booked yet!!! DAMN CALM DOWN!!!!

I have been talking to Trish and she's great!!! My fiancé is dead against and so are my parents..they think I'm crazy for going to Mexico and that makes me second guess myself....Praying on this thing!!! Kansasgirl I've been following you on YT...I wanna be like you when I grow up...lol...You look Amazing girl!!!

I'm in Edison originally from Plainfield and going to Mexico to have my surgery! I hope everyone has success with this surgery :-)

@CCCross and all of Dr.Kelly's patients....The point is not to "scare" anyone!! It is to inform!!! That's why this is a forum. Just keep in mind that all of the "rumors" I did not say I only stated facts.....We are not sleeved so IT IS OUR JOB to state facts as the trip alone is scary enough..however, I would have been less than a human not to answer Mike when he asked a very valid question... Let's just get that clear and out of the way!!! To the ICU nurse I pray that your recovery is speedy and congratulations to a new life...I am a nursing student and you were a revision so that's why he probably used the drain on you...this may be to personal and you don't have to answer but I know U.S. nurses have the best insurance so why did you go to Mexico?!?! I am going because my Aetna insurance has a clause stating no bariatric surgery!!!

My bad started typing fast because I am at work...Crazy today!! Let me get this clear Mi Doctor he can't work...Florence he is still able to work as of now!!! The sad irony of this all is everyone says he is a skilled surgeon..his patients highly recommend him...He speaks great English, great bedside manners etc....Have you all been for blood test and organ function test since you've been sleeved?!?!

By the way I confirmed with Mi Doctor and Florence....If I sound testy it's because I am passionate about this situation and researching...don't get me wring anything can happen once you go under but I will damned if I let someone that I KNOW info about cut me open!!! SORRY...smh

it DID NOT come from coordinators and I could care less about who uses who!!! I have researched my @$$ off about all of these doctors... I am from NJ and by no means am I a coordinator!!! I asked Sexy Slim a VERY relevant question about him using a drain... How is that a rumor?!?! I am not sleeved and I am not a Dr. by any means!!! Just a RN nursing student that works in finance from NJ that has quite a bit of common sense to do my research when something seems fishy!!! Like I said Dr Kelly was my first choice up until recently!!!!

@Sexy Slim I am glad that your operation was a success (as many others were) and Dr. Kelly was my choice up until 3 weeks ago!! The reason why I am on here to see if a thread would be made about this...No one works with Dr. Kelly anymore!!! That is not a coincidence that no one is working with him and he's not able to work at NUMEROUS hospitals...It SCARES me that he doesn't use a drain. He is the ONLY Dr. That doesn't use a drain in Mexico or the U.S.

PLEASE do your research with Dr. Kelly!!! I'm hearing he isn't allowed to practice in a couple hospitals....DONT SHOOT THE MESSENGER PPL!!! For those of you that was sleeved by Dr. Kelly did hd use a drain?!?!

I pray you have a successful operation and a speedy recovery!! I am in the process now of looking at flights....I hope to be in your shoes pretty soon with Ponce :-)

Thanks Everyone, I think I have made my final decision to go with Ponce...I am nervous and will probably be going by myself!!! I am looking at December! FUNDS FUNDS FUNDS is the hold up!!! Anyone finance their VSG thru Dr. Ponce?!?!

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to book with Dr. Ponce...Every site that I go to, he isn't affiliated with the hospital anymore?!?!
